CHAPTER TWO

Briana's Point Of View “Where am I?” I tossed off the bed after a terrible nightmare. Narrowing my gaze around, I realized that I wasn't in my room. The whole place looked entirely different from my spacious room at my Father's mansion. “Can somebody please help me? I need to get the f**k out of here,” I forced myself to scream. My head was making some funny sounds as though it were smashed against the wall. After a second glance at the room, I saw photos of Omarion hanging on the wall. It could only mean one thing; I was in his apartment. “How the f**k did I even get here? What happened to my parents’ house? Is this another strange nightmare?” I asked myself rhetorically as my voice echoed back to me. I was experiencing a difficult time adjusting to Earth. It didn't seem like I was going to get a response soon. I forced myself to stand up from the bed and headed towards the living room where I met Tasha watching TV. Immediately she saw me, she ran after me. “Thank goodness you're awake now,” She also assisted me to sit on the couch after seeing how weak I had become. Nothing ever made sense to me. It felt like I was watching a movie. Firstly, I found myself in Omarion's room. Now, the sudden appearance of Tasha made everything worse. “Tasha, what exactly is going on? Why am I here? What happened to my father’s mansion? And where's Omarion?” I asked Tasha. I figured she was in the best position to provide the answers that I sought. She looked at me and shook her head. “I don't want to believe that you've lost your memories already. Please don't play pranks on me, Briana,” “Like seriously, Tasha? Are we going to do this now? If I had an idea what was going on, I wouldn't be having this conversation with you,” I frowned. A few minutes after I asked her, my memories were restored as scenes from the past began to play in my head once more. At that point, it dawned on me that I had lost everything that ever mattered to me. I could barely even speak further or cry. I exhausted all the tears in my eyes. “Where's Omarion? Why did he abandon me?” I lamented. I was looking for whom to blame. In the end, I realized how stupid I sounded. Tasha consoled me. She assured me that everything was going to be fine. I refused to believe her, knowing that she only said that just to make me happy. “I just need to be left alone. Since Omarion has gone to work, I think it's only fair that I retire to my bed,” I stood up. As I was about to leave, Tasha pulled me back. “You ain't going nowhere.” “There's no way I'm leaving you to yourself alone. Let's go get dressed. We are heading to the clubhouse now. You certainly need a break out of this whole drama,” Tasha suggested. I resisted the urge to come with Tasha. I didn't think it was the right thing to do at the time when I just lost my parents. Trust Tasha to be relentless. She convinced me until I finally gave in to her demands. Reluctantly, we got dressed and drove to the clubhouse inside her car since the Bank already confiscated my Father's properties including the exotic cars that were parked in the garage. A few miles away from the clubhouse, I was already experiencing loss of hearing due to the loud music blasting from the speakers. “Tasha, we need to leave this place. I can't stand the noise,” I screamed into the ears of Tasha with her entire voice. The noise only worsened the migraine I was having. At that point, I was scared that I was going to go deaf. “Don't worry, you will be fine. Come with me,” Like a kid, Tasha dragged me inside the clubhouse. I couldn't fathom how she was able to play into my head. As we walked inside, Tasha was greeted by a couple of people as though they were expecting her. It never occurred to me that my best friend was famous for such a lifestyle. Judging from her innocent look, I could have sworn that she was a saint. “Please stay here with my friends. I will be back. I've got to go man-hunting,” Tasha said and walked away. She left me in company with some folks I hadn't seen before. I was in the midst of people, yet it felt like I was alone. They passed me a glass of liquor. I resisted until I finally agreed. After the first shot, I loved it. I took my shots of tequila until I got drunk to a stupor. I adapted so fast to a lifestyle I once kicked against. I felt pressed and decided to visit the restroom. After easing myself, I found it difficult to return to the clubhouse. I saw myself staggering at every attempt to stand up. Luckily for me, a strange man showed up and helped me stand up. He appears to be drunk, too but not exactly down as I was. I couldn't picture his face perfectly due to how dark the place was. “Are you okay? I guess you need some help,” He asked me as we stared at each other's faces. “Get off me, you peasant. Who told you I needed help? I just wanna go home now,” I pushed him aside, pretending to be strong again. I wasn't even conscious of my actions. I fell on his chest as we both shared a telling look. Moments later, I saw my lips edging closer to his. There was something about him, I couldn't fathom. I couldn't tell if it was the alcohol taking control over me. He kissed me and I reciprocated. We ended up having s*x. I had the best lovemaking with a total stranger in a hasty manner. To think that he wasn't even my boyfriend.
