DAMIEN LOCKWOOD THE DAY DAMIEN WROTE A LETTER FOR ASHTER. Dear Ashter, Hey Ashter, I know it's a bit rude just telling you this in a letter but I don't have any other choice. I want to tell you this in person but I can't reach you sadly. I want to say first off. I am sorry for everything I have done. Sorry for making you confused and always leaving you with no explanation and mostly I'm sorry for putting your life in danger. You have been an excellent guide for me. I have learned many important things from you. You have helped me when I needed it badly and you made me realize a lot of things. we have built a good relation, but there are certain things for which I need to apologize to you. So here is the thing that I've been wanting to tell you, I think I wouldn't be back for a while now and I don't want for you to keep waiting for me. Things here aren't going pretty well and I wasn't doing well either. As of now, we are hiding in our base and Zachary is watching me as I write this letter to you. I wish I could tell you everything, I wish I can explain things that are happening right now to you... But I can't, it's too risky for you because you are human. I don't want you to suffer the ugly consequences. I hate to say this but it's better if you forget about me and stop waiting for me, for us... I never, ever, ever meant to hurt your feelings. It's the last thing I would ever want to do. But I have no other choice, to protect you I need to stay away from you. With that you can go back to your normal life again because I know that's what you want and it's what you deserve because now you are overwhelmed at everything that is happening right now, I also know that it's stressing you a lot. So I'm sorry but you have to live your life without me. You are the most, generous, beautiful, warm, and talented girl I have ever seen and I have a lot more words to describe you but I don't think it will fit in this paper. You deserve to live a normal and happy life. I wish that you keep moving towards your destination and always have the energy and enthusiasm to achieve your goals irrespective of the circumstances you face because people who strive for something and are the ones who actually end up achieving something in life and I know that is you, you will achieve something much great in your life because you are a good person. Once again I am extremely sorry for the mistakes I have done during the time we spent together. I believe that such a kind-hearted person like you will definitely forgive me. Maybe in another life someday Ashter, maybe we can be together by then. I'm sorry, Goodbye Ashter. Sincerely yours, DAMIEN LOCKWOOD After writing that letter I let out a deep sigh so much emotion is going through my head, I have never felt this before, like ever... I felt really guilty, having to put them through all of that pain. But i couldn't really do anything about it. I don't have much choice. If staying away for her is a protection then I would stay away for good. "It's better than without saying goodbye" Zachary replied when he noticed I sighed deeply. "Still it's painful to write this you know," I said as I placed my head on the table. "Wow, who knew one girl will pin you down after all these years, and it sucks because she is a human" Zachary mocked as he sat down on the chair beside me. he is been standing too long since I started writing. "Shut up" I glared at him. I folded the paper gently and slipped it inside the envelope before I sealed it with wax. "So how am I gonna send this?" I asked Zachary then I looked at him hopefully "Can I send this myself?" "Don't be stupid, wolves are scattered around, finding you... so you can't just walk outside like you are a free food" Zachary said in a serious tone. I knew I was going to be turned down but it's worth a try. "Fine, then who is gonna send this then?" "I know someone, who is good at running away and hiding," Zachary said as he retrieve his phone from his pocket and dialed a number. "Hey Sima, I have some favor for you to do" Zachary walked to the kitchen as he talked to Maxima. Then my head snapped when I heard our door click open. then I felt relief when I saw it was our dad 'Vincent'. "Hello, boys how are you doing?" Our dad Vincent's voice filled the room as he entered. "Hey dad you are finally back" I casually said while looking at him meaningfully "So how is she?" "She's fine and doing well, don't worry," Vincent said as he placed his suitcase on the table. "Although I gotta say, she is in too much stress and overthinking. She is like always spacing out" I asked a favor to my father to check her up on school. So he is a substitute teacher for just one day. I'm glad he accepted it even though our situation is risky. "And I'm impressed because the first time she saw me she already thinks that I was a Vampire haha, that girl is something" Vincent commented letting out a small laugh as he went over to the kitchen to make coffee for himself. I grimaced at the smell. I'm not too fond of coffee but they all like it which is weird because I thought vampires only like blood. "I know right, she is very good at observing things and that's why she figure out what we are" I replied. "Well, that girl is very curious at everything like a cat," Zachary said "I am thinking that she should be a detective one day" "So dad did you run into the wolves on the way here?" Claude asked. "No, not at all, I was surprised, to be honest, I was expecting like one or two wolves would attack me at least" Vincent shrugged as he took a sip from his coffee and sat down on the couch. After a few minutes of talking, we heard our door click opened which made us all stand up and run through the door making the air swoosh. "Whoa!" Maxima raised her hand in defense "You guys are so paranoid, It's just me" "Sorry it's just.." Zachary said but Maxima cut him off. "Yeah, yeah I know, it's hard to let your wall down nowadays" Maxima continued for him "Anyways you are expecting me right? so why don't you sit down and just calm down" "Yeah... Anyways you came here so fast dude" Zachary noticed. "Duh, we have super speed," Maxima said in an obvious tone. They spoke for a little while before she turn to our dad. "Hi Mr. Sparrow, it's been a long time since I last saw you" Maxima greeted our dad "How are you?" "Fine, but also not fine because for some reason the wolves are after us again" Vincent sighed as he explains his feeling to Maxima. They are very close too. I mean everyone in our squad is close to each other. "Do you want some coffee?" "I'm fine but thank you for the offer" Maxima declined politely as she sat down on the couch beside me. "So what is it that you want to deliver Zach?" "A letter for Ashter," I told her, and she furrowed her eyebrows at me. "Ahh, this one..." Zachary said he took my letter from the table and handed it to Maxima. "Ohh," She said as she examines the letter closely "So Damien really fell for this human? I'm jealous" "I'm sorry Sima but you are just a little sis-" "I am kidding, I knew that a long time ago... but I'm fine now I've moved on" Maxima brushed it off. but I can still see the hurt in her eyes. Maxima confessed to me a long time ago but I kindly turn her down gently because I don't want to hurt her. Besides, I don't feel anything romantic for her. She was just like a little sister to me and I think of us as a family. "Uhm well... So are you willing to deliver this letter? Because if you don't, I understand I could just call ano-" "It's fine, I was about to deliver a letter too, it's your lucky day" Maxima gave us a bright smile before she put the letter in her bag. "What letter?" I asked confusedly. "It's for my coach" Maxima simply replied. "I haven't been training for weeks and I didn't say anything to him so I wrote it all in this letter, I really feel bad though because we have a tournament next week" "So you really took volleyball seriously?" Claude asked in disbelief "Yeah, since school is boring I decided to join for fun and mostly distraction" Maxima explained "But right now I can't go to school and training since these freaking wolves are always hunting me and I don't even know why, it's stressing, to be honest, and I am super tired of running" "Didn't you use the potion we gave to you?" "I did, but the effects really don't last long, I can only be invisible for like 1 min" Maxima groaned. "Damn these wolves, they really can't just let us live in peace!" I slammed my fist to the table. It was unsatisfied when it didn't break. Vincent made sure that everything around here is made of plastic. Since we can't control our strength we can easily break things. So vincent prevented that so we wouldn't keep on buying furniture and stuffs. "Well we all know who's fault is that..." I heard Zachary mutter quietly. He was like saying that to himself but I clearly heard it. "I already said sorry a long time ago! I didn't mean to-" "Boys, boys, we've been through this a thousand times... I don't want to hear it anymore" Vincent placed his palm to cover my mouth. I was about to argue but I heard Maxima clear her throat. Vincent removed his palm that was covering my mouth and he looked at me sternly. With one look I already know. So I kept my mouth shut. "Anyways I can't promise you that I can give it to her today, but I promise I will deliver it sometime next week" I sighed as I let myself calm down before I burst out in anger again. "Okay, thank you" I softly said as I patted her head "I really owe you a lot Sima" "No problem, it's always a pleasure helping you," She said with a smile before she collected her things and rose from her seat "So yeah I'll be going then" "Okay take all of this potion so you wouldn't have a hard time running from the wolves, take care and be careful of them okay? Just call us when you need help" I said as I handed her a bag full of different kinds of potions. "Yeah I will, I will be back soon" "Good luck out there!"
