-Joseph- I’m a miserable asshole to be around today. I don’t want to be in the car on this long drive. I don’t want to go to Silver Moon, and I certainly don’t want to deal with a f*****g alpha challenge. I do feel a bit excited to kill someone who helped starve my Cora, though. It’s a small silver lining to this trip. “How much longer?” I grumble. “About an hour, Your Majesty,” Frank tells me. Frank is not only my driver but the head of my security. He’s been with me for years, waiting silently on the sidelines but still gently guiding me. He’s probably the closest thing I have to a friend, though I’m sure he wouldn’t be around if he weren’t being paid. I lean my head back and try to relax. My bond with Cora is only a flicker now with the distance between us. It’s horrid.
