-Joseph- I sneak down to the kitchen, searching for the chef with the bag I procured. I call him out to join me in the hall, not wanting the kitchen staff to see me and word get back to the king. “Sir,” he bows as he joins me. “I need you to make coffee,” I tell him, handing him the bag of beans. “I have reason to believe the king is adding something to the rest. I need this to be just for me and for no one to know about it.” He looks concerned but nods and takes the bag from me. “This does not go against any order he’s placed on you, does it?” I ask. Knowing him, he’s ordered the poor man to put it in my coffee directly. He shakes his head. “No sir,” he tells me. “We have not been instructed to add anything to the coffee.
