“I shouldn’t have cried like that,” Joseph tells me, straightening his tie. “It won’t happen again.”
I roll my eyes at him. Men. They don’t apologize OR show emotions. “You’re allowed to have feelings and emotions.”
“Actually, I’m not,” he says seriously. “It’s part of the royal deal.”
Of course, there’s something against men crying. I hate this place. “You’re going through a lot right now. It’s alright to need time to adjust to the new normal. It won’t always feel this terrible.” I hope. I have to keep that to myself, though.
