I go for a walk toward the woods, trying to remain as cool as possible, but I’m shaking inside. I just ordered a grown man to sit in the mud. I really have lost my mind. I smell Joseph close behind me, but I don’t stop. I need to get away from everyone.
“Cora,” he calls after me. I continue. “Cora.”
He grabs my arm, turning me around roughly before pressing my back into a tree. He towers over me, his arm resting above my head as he leans over me. His other hand grazes my side as he smirks.
