Chapter 35 By the time I collapsed on my bed, I was past exhaustion. I’d experienced every emotion over the past twenty-four hours, and I wanted to sleep for a week. I hadn’t managed to catch Leo after all the commotion, and by the time everyone had dispersed, the music had stopped, stalls were taken down and fairy lights switched off, Leo was nowhere to be seen. My fingers hovered over the letters on my phone, the messaging app open. Where do I start? As I contemplated how to apologise, my phone flashed with Leo’s number. ‘Leo?’ ‘Demi.
