Chapter 9, Plots Sarah's POV Sarah was so stressed. She could take off. Get lost in that old Labyrinth as she once had before. She knew deep in her heart it was going to cause Jareth to worry for her. He would come to her rescue as he always did. And her mother would once and for all see he really loved her. Tears come to Sarah. She was not the not that happy there. She wanted to back to Jareth's castle. To be with him. But her mother was not allowing her to do so. Sarah had never been free to do as she wished in her life. Not on earth or in this underworld. She knew in her heart she was to be Jareth's queen. The queen of his castle the queen of his heart. His world. She closes her eyes thinking back to him healing her last night. Caring over her. She needed him. He needed her. They were a team. A duo. ☪︎︎ ✫︎☪︎︎ ✫︎☪︎ "Sarah come here. We are going to discuss the wedding plans with Torto today" her mother orders. "I told you I am not marrying him" she argues. "Sarah, we need this" says her mother. "just come talk with us" her mother says. "Where are we going?" asks Sarah. "Out in the garden" her mother tells her. "for tea" "Can Hoggle come?" asks Sarah. Her mother makes a face. "That goon?" sighs her mother. She makes a face. "Hoggle is my friend" Sarah reminds her mother. "Fine, invite Hoggle to come to" sighs Sarah's mother. Sarah get Hoggle to come with her. He had to help with this plan she was coming up with. She was getting desperate. She did not know who else she could possibly turn to. Hoggle was her only hope with this. He had once helped Jareth with things so he knew ideas. How Jareth worked. ☪︎︎ ✫︎☪︎︎ ✫︎☪︎ "Sarah will there be cookies? I like tea and cookies" Hoggle is telling her as he follows her into the garden. "Yes, Hoggle there will be many cookies" says Sarah with a laugh. He waddles behind her. Then she helps him get a cup of tea and cookies. "Sarah's little friends" laughs her mother to the other king. "don't mind them" "I won't mind at all" laughs the king. "He is worse then Jareth" says Hoggle to Sarah. "How is he?" asks Sarah. "How is whom?" wonders Hoggle as he eats a cookie. "Jareth?" "He is fine" says Hoggle. "Oh? Fine?" mutters a sad Sarah. "Fine" adds Hoggle with a nod. "I have a plan" she mentions. "I need your help. This will let me marry Jareth and help your kingdom" Sarah tells Hoggle softly. "What is that plan?" asks Hoggle. They whisper to one another. Hoggle nods. "Got it?" asks Sarah. "I think so. Got it" he adds. "you think this will work on Jareth?" "It has to Hoggle" Sarah tells him. Sarah and Hoggle go back over to her mother and the other king. Someone pours Hoggle some more tea. Then Sarah winks giving him the signal. Hoggle spills hot tea on him. "Oh ouch so, hot ouch ouch ouch" wails Hoggle. "it burns" he moans. ☪︎︎ ✫︎☪︎︎ ✫︎☪︎ Her mother helps him as does the king. Everyone is distracted. Sarah looks back once more before running out of the garden. Not looking back. She soon is deep within the labyrinth. Her heart pounding in her eardrums. She did it. Now she would get lost. Then everyone would worry. Jareth knew this place like the back of his hand so she would have to be sure to hide well on him. How was she going to manage that she did not know. Sarah runs and runs as fast as she could move. Then looking up to make sure no pure white owl was following her. This was going to work. Jareth was going to find her. He cared. He was going to hear she left. He would worry then search for her. The rush went to her head. Then she did not look where she was running to. She ended up in a wooded area. She had been there before. Deep into a dark wooded area. Then she slides. On the ground. Tripping on her dress. She was not used to wearing long gowns. She slides down a bumping long hill. Screaming at the top of her lungs. This was not what she barged for. She sees where she is falling. Nearly dipping into the swamp of stench. It smelled horribly. She did not have her friend to call the rocks for her rescue either. She was doomed on this cliff. She clung to the wall. Now she was really needing someone to find her. Any of the kings. If she fell in to the swamp she was going to smell forever. No one would love her. No one would ever want her. Tears came to her. She scrapped her arm in the fall. She was growing tired from running. A storm was brewing overhead of her. Maybe Jareth would not find her. This was a test of faith. Maybe no one would find her. ☪︎︎ ✫︎☪︎︎ ✫︎☪︎ "Hoggle? Hoggle help me" begs Sarah with fear. Rain began to pelt down on her face. "Jareth, are you watching me in your ball? I need you! I call upon the goblin king. Jareth I need you please" she begs of him. Tears stream down her face. She was scared. "Jareth, I have faith in you. You will find me" she says as she shivers from the rain. With the rain coming down so hard from the sky that made the swamp water begin to bubble and rise below her feet. Inching closer and closer by the moment. She moved her feet higher in the cliff. She was so cold. She could hardly see with her wet hair dripping in her face. "Why did I do this?" she moans. She shivers. Then sneezes. "I am growing so tired. I can't hold on much longer" she worries out loud. "will no one find me?" she exclaims. She thought he said he would always be there for her. Was her mother right? Was he only looking out for himself? Was he not going to come for her? Was he giving her up? He always seemed to be there when she needed him most. What was stopping him now? Where was Jareth? •~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•
