KELSINTRY MILLER SEEMINGLY appeared out of nowhere when he began terrorizing the Denver strip clubs and allegedly bludgeoning the city’s residents. Born at eleven pounds and twenty-five inches, Kelsintry was never little. When the OBGYN predicted he would be a girl, his parents, Tom, and Molly, both former college basketball players, chose “Kelsi” as the name. When Kelsi turned out to be a boy, the parents added some letters to the name to make it sound more masculine. Little kids often tease their classmates with unusual names. Not Kelsintry. No one ever teased the boy who was already taller than many of his teachers by fifth grade. A man Miller’s size – a giant – should have been terrorizing running backs or point guards. In fact, he was headed in that direction for much of his youth.
