I pulled away from Ivana the moment Ava left. After the agreement with Ivana, I also knew that another way of keeping Ava safe from Ivana’s madness was to show very little or no affection to Ava when Ivana was around, and that’s the only reason why I'd let her kiss me.
Nothing terrified me as the hate in her eyes when her gaze ever fell on me. Luckily, Ivana hurriedly left after someone had called her.
