WEIRD SUGGESTION

EPISODE TWO

"Alright mom. Call me when you need my help" Mia advised her mom "I will" Mrs Shawn responded. Mia took her friends to her room. They mounted her bed and Mia threw in "So, gals, what is the important thing that you couldn't wait till tomorrow morning in school?" Mercy flung the card to her. Mia asked "What's this?" Marbel cautioned her "Go through it first " Mia gave them a gaze and Mercy cleared her thought a bit "It's the birthday invitation card" Mia immediately cut in "Yeah! I suggest we go on our leather outfits. I was imagining it before you girls came. it'd be nice and charming. What do you gals think?" Marbel repeated her instruction "Go through the card first" Mercy seconded her "yeah, go through it" "Ooh! okay...hmm" Mia sighed and read through it. In a short while she exclaimed "Really!!" looking at her friends she uttered "This stuff isn't gonna work" Marbel told her " Mia, that's someone's eighteenth birthday for crying out loud" Mia retaliated "yeah, I know. But the rules here aren't okay with me. I mean I'm not okay with them..." Mercy cuts in "We know it'd be this way for you, and that's why we're here" Mia continued with her words "...I mean how can she possibly request everyone to be there with their boyfriends? this is not right. Come on gals! well, I think I will have to stay back home" Marbel took over with her own words "Listen baby girl, we're here to plan on what to do. We can't just disappoint her..."

Mia cuts in "Absolutely! but I'll definitely disappoint her"

Mercy snapped in "We came here for a suggestion, and not to hear you spit your anger on us" Marbel supported her "Exactly! Mia, we have to attend the party. We can't turn down her invitation of course..." Mia took words from her "of course not! Marbel, you and Mercy have a boyfriend or rather have someone to stand in as your boyfriend but I don't. And I'm not even interested in that" Mercy calmly said "And that is why we are here. I think I have a plan" the other girls questioned together "and what is that?" "Let's hire a pretend boyfriend for you" pointing at Mia. But obviously it should be Mia she would be referring to.

Mia retaliated again "Hell No! that's not gonna happen to me" the other girls in curiosity asked "Why?" Mia went further to say " Damn! this sounds like I'm in a movie..." Marbel took over "yes, it obviously has to. We don't have any other option left, and I will support Mercy's own and this is the final" Mia calmly said "Well, if you both insist, then the work will be on you both. I'm not going to help. I believe by now you girls know my type" Mercy chuckled and responded "Yeah! I do " Marbel smiled and said too "I do know your type. I'm glad you agreed to it" The girls began to discuss different lifestyles, they were chatting and gisting and having fun together. Mia looked through the window and reminded her friends " it's getting dark outside. I think you should call your drivers to come pick you up " Mercy looked at her wrist watch and said "Oh My Gosh! Marbel it's past 6pm already. Let's make a call on our drivers " " Oh alright" Marbel heeded Mercy's words.

Marbel and Mercy placed a call on their drivers. After a while "Mia! Mia!" Mrs Shawn called out "Yes Mom?" Mia answered. Mrs Shawn went further "Come down stairs with your squad let's have supper together " agreeing to her Mom "Alright Mom ". Mia turned to her friends, "Mom said we should assemble the dining table for supper " Mercy suggested "It's late. And my Mom must be done preparing our supper. I don't think I'll eat with you all. I have to head home straight away. I'm sorry but I'll have to decline the offer, Mia " Marbel supported her too "Yes. I'm sorry too " Mia wasn't feeling bad about their idea because she would have done the same if she was to be in their shoes. "I'm okay with that. But we have to tell my Mom too. Let's go down stairs then" "Alright" the girls responded and they marched down to meet Mia's mom about to dish out their meals. "uh..Mom" Mia called her attention "Yes, my love?" her Mom answered and Mia narrated "Marbel and Mercy would like to decline your offer. They are already late for their family's supper..."

Mercy snapped in "Yes, Mom. our drivers will be here any moment from now. We are sorry for today. Maybe next time " and Marbel joined in "Mom, we will definitely join you at the table next time. Our parents have prepared dinner and are awaiting our arrival " Mrs Shawn was pleased to listen to the girls' cheerful and innocent voices "It's alright. As a mother and parent, I totally understand you both"

Porhh porhh!!!

It was the horn coming from Marbel and Mercy's family cars. "Our drivers are here. We have to go. Bye Mia, Bye Mrs Shawn" Marbel and Mercy expressed and Mrs Shawn gave them a warm hug, Mia gave them a hug too and bade them bye too. The girls parted ways as they got into their cars.

Mia was left with her Mom as they dined together. "Mia, your dad called earlier today" as curious as Mia was, she asked "oh! really! What did he say?" Mrs Shawn went further to narrate "He will be coming home by next week. Probably from Sunday we'll expect his return. He is on a week leave from work" Mia being so excited over the news she exclaimed "Yes!!! I really can't wait to see dad again. I've missed him so much" the mother teasingly uttered "I guess someone never missed me" with a quick response and smile, Mia said to her Mom "No! Mom. You're always here with me. I love you so much, and that, you can't even imagine. I'm sure my love for you is greater than Dad's love for you " "Hey! young girl. You're teasing me more right now. It's enough. Our love for one another is totally equal. Take it or leave it?" Mrs Shawn retaliated without hesitating "I'll take it" Mia replied and they both burst into laughter. "Mom, before I totally forget. On Saturday evening, Sally, a senior in my school will hold her birthday party which I and my squad were invited too." Mia recalled, but without much words her mom said "it's alright. You can go. it's not your first time and won't be your last" "Thank you Mom. You're the best" she was so happy.

They were done with their meal and went to an early bed. The next day is school. 'Good night/ Sleep well.'
