The house was quiet when we returned. Neither Kevin nor Vanessa was in sight. All the employees retired to their house. The manor appeared deserted. I had never cared to observe how it was after everyone went to bed. Such a big house with no traffic was like a hollow cave. Javian left me and went to his office.
