Kate went back to work, accomplishing errands for Vanessa. Miguel was here, so Javian was busy with all the things he needed his assistant to do before Miguel's departure. Vanessa was here and there, making calls and whatnot.
I was a bit startled to find out Kevin had resumed his duties as a businessman. When I left him this morning, he was in no shape to go out into the world. Then again, we all had a tendency to drown ourselves in things that would take our minds off our problems. For Kevin, that was work. I should be grateful it was not something worse. He was a sweet man, after all. An illness did not make a man but what he did before and after the diagnosis.
