Episode 4 : the accident

*** the next morning being a sunday morning, the Golden family went to church and after service they returned, but something bad happened to Jack on their way back ***

Jack : dad

Mr Golden : yes son.

Jack : please can you stop the car I want to get something across the road.

Mr Golden : what's that ?

Jack : some colored pencils and some materials I need for school and my drawings, I want to perfect my drawings starting from today, I promise I won't take time.

Mr Golden : OK be fast.

Juliet : make sure you don't waste our time.

Jack : if it were for you I could waste the whole day.

*** Jack crosses the road to get his materials but on his way back he was hit by a vehicle on high speed ***

Mrs Golden : nooooh! some body call the ambulance, call the ambulance, oh my son my son *** weeps bitterly ***

Mr Golden : I have called the ambulance they will soon be here, please Jack my son hang on, May God punish that bastard that knock off my son and ran away. I will make sure I get you. *** Cry's holding his face and in the space of five minutes the ambulance arrived ***

Mrs Golden : please help make sure nothing happens, I want my son to walks on his feet again, he has big dreams I don't want it to waste.

Nurse : Ma please you have to calm down, when we get to the hospital the doctor will takeover and job his best.

*** Mrs Golden follows the ambulance, while Mr Golden and his daughters follows them at the back using their own car, the girls are weeping profusely, praying that there brother do not die, while Mr Golden put his eyes on the ambulance ahead of him ***

Nurse 1 : call the doctor there is an accident emergency, let's rush him into ward 5.

Nurse 2 : Ma please you will have to let us take over from here, everything is under control.

Mrs Golden : please where is the doctor ?

Nurse 2 : he is around, he is coming, oh there he comes.

Doctor : where is the patient ?

Nurse 2 : he is in the ward.

Doctor : OK let's hurry up.

Mr Golden : honey, where is he ?

Mrs Golden : he is in this ward *** crying ***

Mr Golden : Honey, you have to calm down, he is going to survive it, he is a strong boy remember. Am sure the doctor and nurse will make sure that Jack is revived. Please stop crying. *** hugs his wife and two daughters, calming them down ***

*** after about an hour the doctor comes out to tell the report of Jacks present condition ***

Mrs Golden : how is he ?

Doctor : By the grace of God, we were able to revive him and he is I a stable condition right now, but am sorry to tell you that his left leg was broken, and the chance of him being to walk on both legs is less than twenty percent.

Mr Golden : does that means he won't be able to use both legs again.

Doctor : am sorry sir.

Juliet : can we were him now ?

Doctor : No sweetie, when he wakes up you can see, he needs to rest. Mr and Mrs, you have to calm down all will be well, there is a chance a miracle can still happen, we have seen so many cases like this, and those who were lucky are able to stand up on their, we just have to keep praying and hoping that all will be OK.

*** Mr Golden was able to convince and calm them, telling them and giving them hope that all will be well that they should not panic about Jack, that he is going to stand up again and everything will as it used to be, before taking them home, when they went home, he went to Jack's room but could not find the squirrel there, then remember seeing something like a squirrel take over took his car and enter into the ambulance but was not sure if it was actually a squirrel he saw, and he saw a drawing of a squirrel and remember Jack said he has not started his drawings yet, so he quickly ran around the house to find the squirrel but found another shocking thing. ***
