Olivia looked sad as she stepped out onto the terrace near the master bedroom door. She couldn't sleep because she was worried about how to tell Tristan that she was sorry for everything she had done. She wanted to shout that she would rather stay with him and that she wasn't lying.
While Olivia's mind was busy looking into the distance, a dark shadow formed behind her.
The stranger Brandon came out. With his handsome aura and muscular body, he crossed his arms. It seemed that he was frustrated of showing himself to Olivia again in this time.
"So what's the problem here?" Brandon asked her.
Olivia was surprised by the person who suddenly spoke behind her.
"Brandon, why you suddenly appeared. Get lost before Tristan finds you here!"
"Why you care? when he didn't listen to you?"
Brandon insists as he leans his back on the wall.
"Hey Brandon, shut your mouth. It's my family business get out of it."
"Well, I don't care about your husband. I only care about you." Brandon said clearly.
"Oh dear. So why did you suddenly appear here?"
"I appeared because you were hurt." Brandon says it loud. Then he added, "Your emotions are connected on my thougths. Something that you feel will appear even on my sleep"
"Please let me do what I want. I can handle myself for now. It's my own problem that I want to resolve." Olivia explained these words in low voices, after she checked that no one can hear them around.
"I can offer any help if you want." Brandon said.
"No. I mean not this time." Olivia clarified.
"I understand." After Brandon say this. He immediately turned to his crow form and flew away.
Olivia followed Brandon's flight with her eyes, but because his feathers were so dark and black, she couldn't immediately see him from afar.
"It's not the right time Brandon. but maybe, someday" Olivia said.
Until the realization comes up, Olivia wears Tristan's size 10 slippers and climbs up the stairs.
(Knock, knock, knock!) the door sounded from the outside.
Olivia knocked lightly on the outside study door, wishing that Tristan will talk to her at this late hour.
"Tristan, Tristan I know you're in there. Open the door love, please.." she Olivia followed Brandon's flight with her eyes, but because his feathers were so dark and black, she couldn't immediately see him from afar. out, pressing her ear against the door, trying to catch any sound from inside.
"If you don't open up, I'm going to kick the door down!" again there was no response from inside of the room, and Olivia began to feel anxious.
Hearing Olivia's voice, Tristan finally couldn't harden his heart any longer. He walked over and turned the doorknob. But before Tristan could react, a dark figure came crashing into him.The scream wasn't his, it was Olivia, who had fallen on top of him.
"Ahh!"
The sudden opening of the door had caused her to lose her balance and fall forward. If Tristan hadn't been there to break her fall, she might have ended up facing the floor.
"Ouch," Olivia groaned, rubbing her sore lower back, her face scrunched up in pain.
Tristan stared at her face who had literally fallen into his arms, his eyes narrowing in disbelief.
Olivia, regaining her senses, looked up to meet the gaze of her husband who was staring intently at her...
"I swear, I didn't mean to. Do you believe me?" She swallowed nervously and forced a smile that looked more like a grimace.
Tristan seemed taken aback by her explanation and didn't respond. Olivia blushed and tried to get off him. In her flustered state, her hand landed somewhere it definitely shouldn't have...
"Ah!" Another gasp escaped her lips. Olivia's face flushed in red. Without a second thought, she quickly moved her hand away.
However, Tristan's expression darkened as well. Any semblance of composure or restraint the had was shattered by that brief touch.
"Are you... not getting up?" Tristan asked, his voice hoarse and breath heavy, urging her to move.
Olivia's face flushed, scrambled to her feet. She stood there like a child who had done something wrong, her head hung low.
“I... I’m sorry,” she stammered, watching Tristan as he got up and walked towards the study. Afraid he might kick her out, she quickly followed him, apologizing all the way.
"I'm sorry about that. I'm sorry for bothering you.."
Tristan heard her apology, a flicker of confusion crossing his brow, along with a hint of a smile he didn’t even notice himself.
“I have a lot of work to review. You should go back to your room and sleep,” he said as he sat back down in his office chair, casually picking up a file to continue working.
If Olivia hadn't been treated him so badly before, she would be happy and content now with Oliver.
But now, all she could think about was sleeping with her husband?
Seeing Tristan seemingly engrossed in his files, Olivia glanced around the room. She then walked towards the bookshelf. Tristan Emerson’s study room had a cool color overall. In the far corner stood a large bookshelf, filled with a towering sort of book. Near the window, there was an electric guitar and a piano with one chair that seemed completely out of place in this room. It was covered with a white blanket to avoid the dust.
Olivia approached it with a sense of familiarity and gently touched it before plopping down. Then she turned her eyes and fixed on Tristan who was busy reading at his desk.
The way Tristan focused on his work was truly captivating. Even the occasional furrow of his brow exuded an air of nobility. His chair held a special place in Olivia's memory.
In the past, to force Tristan into divorcing her, she often challenged his limits. It seemed that apart from getting angry when she mentioned divorce, Tristan would accept everything she did without a word of protest...
"Go back to your room" Tristan urged her in a deep voice.
It sounded like a snapping to Olivia's ear, wandering thoughts back to reality.
"Okay." She replied softly, unusually obedient and well-behaved.
Olivia immediately takes the first move and stands on Tristan's back. Then she hooked her arm around Tristan's neck and smiled saying these words near his ear.
"Let's sleep together."
Tristan's facial expression cracked slightly, but Olivia as a wife, pretended not to notice it, and hugged him closer.
The seconds of hugging him, makes Olivia feel happy and comfortable.
"Leave me alone if you don't want an unexpected nightmare again." Tristan pushed her away from him.
Olivia watched him retreat back in disbelief. Tristan without any words proceeded to the shower, then Olivia heard the sound of running water through the door.
