Tristan paused for a moment, staring at the boiling water with noodles.
Why did I end up with this abusive and heartless woman like her? Tristan talked to himself.
However, Olivia noticed his silence. "Ahmm. Love. Are you done? Do you want me to help you? Maybe you're tired, I was supposed to do the work and you're supposed to sit here!" Olivia suggested as she's waiting behind.
But Tristan never listens to her. Instead, he set the noodles down in front of her, and placing a hand on her forehead.
"Its fine. I want to serve you as long as my body can." Tristan said. Olivia felt being guilt again. She remembered how Tristan endured the pain every time she hurt him.
Olivia picked her time to tilt her head back to look at Tristan's face. It was chiseled and defined, it was a face that could make any woman swoon.
Somehow before, Olivia heard people saying that Tristan Emerson had a face that drove women crazy. She hadn't seen it before, but now she understood. The rumors is true.
"Love. before we got married, like you were single before. are you already in love with someone?" Olivia asked with a smile on her face.
"Why you suddenly asked?"
"So I can get an idea, how did you flirt before? how do you treat her? how did you win her heart and how do you react when you get hurt because of her" Olivia responded but Tristan show a slight laughed on her questions.
"Love.. tell me something.. I want to know my husband well."
"You keep calling me "Love" .You're not used to it. You're not running a fever right? Oh! you might have gotten silly from a fever." Tristan said, as he withdrew his hand, completely unaware that Olivia had been admiring him the whole time.
With a hint of annoyance, Olivia glared at him, then took his hand and led him to sit down, muttering, "I'm not sick!"
Tristan heard her grumbling and let out a soft chuckle, tightening his grip slightly. But as soon as he remembers how crazy she is to force him to sign the divorce paper. He will make sure her vision goes dark first, because of the bad dream she is following. He had to be cautious.
Olivia had no idea what Tristan was thinking. She tried to please him by pushing a bowl of noodles with two eggs in front of him.
"Eat up."
Tristan stared at the eggs in the bowl without moving, his eyes filled with suspicion.
"I won't divorce you." After a long pause, he finally uttered the words, sounding heart-wrenching.
Though Tristan's voice was not loud, Olivia heard him clearly. His words are what Olivia prayed all of this time. It was like waking up in the morning, the sun shining, the flowers around were blooming, birds were singing and water gently flowed, and all of this passed through her imaginary vision.
Tristan didn't know how happy Olivia was right now, she gently turned to him and said, "I won't divorce you either, not now, not ever." She smiled and picked up her fork her eyes bright.
As soon as she finished speaking, Tristan's head, which had been lowered, shot up in shock. He then dumped all the eggs into her bowl.
"I don't like eggs."
Tristan now thinks that the eggs were either contaminated by a poisoned or it is her sweet trap, he couldn't eat them.
Tristan removes it from his bowl and place it to another small plate.
"Ok love.. I can eat it all. I need more energy" Olivia said.
Whether it was because Olivia was so hungry but, Tristan did it with his positive thoughts. In a few seconds, the two both finished the food on each of their bowls.
After eating, Olivia took the initiative to wash the dishes in the kitchen. While Tristan sat on the couch, holding his phone, lost in thought.
After a while, he finally opened "messenger", an app he hadn't used in a long time. The unread messages were just sending there in a couple of words. It was a group chat that immediately exploded with responses.
"Boss, what happened to you? Did someone hack your account?"
"We can assist you to find this "immortal person" who's bothering you all of the time. Just let us know Boss.." the second one said.
"Something weird must be going on. Is it a normal person or a weirdo?"
"People who suddenly change are usually weirdos. Boss, did you meet a weirdo? or a person from your past, an ex-girl friend?" the first one guy said.
But the third guy answered what the first one guy said. "Boss never had a girlfriend before"
"Maybe there is someone who wants to get his attention, like that." the first one guy finally said.
"You're right though. There are people who want to claim everything he has, so it's likely that they're plotting to bring him down and make him disappear." Thirty third one guy said, wanted to point it out.
As the group members eagerly awaited his reply, the system continued in sending notifications. But unexpectedly, Tristan clicked "leave the conversation" immediately.
Tristan put down her phone and looked at the woman standing in front of him after she finished washing the dishes. Keeping a calm exterior, he got up and prepared to go upstairs, but Olivia spread her arms wide, blocking his way.
"Wait, I have something to tell you."
Tristan stopped in his tracks, looking down at her with a puzzled expression.
"What is it?" His face darkened visibly, as if he would drag her out if she said something he didn't like.
"I... um..."
Even though Olivia had already decided to confess her decision to Tristan, she suddenly felt the urge to back out.
"Leave..." Her voice faltered as she looked up and met Tristan's icy gaze. The words stuck in her throat, and she couldn't find her voice.
"I told you, I can give you anything else, but divorce is out of the question! Olivia Hermstein, I'm telling you, if you want a divorce, it'll be over my dead body!" Tristan, saying that words assumed she was bringing up divorce again and flew into a rage.
But Olivia was so frightened by his bloodthirsty expression that she instinctively took several steps back.
"Tristan, it's not what you think!"
Olivia called him as he didn't pause for a moment, or even turned to her once again. Instead, Tristan continued on his walk going to his study room.
Olivia felt all her courage deflate in an instant.
She had rehearsed what she wanted to say while washing dishes, but when the moment came, she couldn't muster the courage to speak.
But soon, Olivia came to think about it. She reminds herself again, "I've made too many mistakes in the past. If there's a need to fight to win him back it is tough, so I deserve it."
