"Madam?!" The voices of the maids worried about Olivia. There were questions in their minds about what had happened to her.
Their sound pulled Olivia out of her unconsciousness. After taking a moment to gather herself, her emotions began to settle.
When she first opened her eyes, it became blurry, until the third blink, the surroundings became clear to her. She quickly noticed the maids and the driver standing near, their faces etched with concern.
"Guys, I'm fine. I just want to stay here and wait for Tristan to come home" Olivia said, forcing a smile. Though she wasn't sure if Tristan would return home tonight because of her, she didn't want to miss the chance.
"Kwak, kwak" Olivia hears another voice from the outside. "What time is it?"
"It's 5;30 in the afternoon Madam.." one of the maid replied.
Olivia looked at the window, she saw the small crow standing on the branches of the narra tree, it seems, like it says "happy to see you alive again" Olivia understand it well. Now she's fully aware that this crow is her guardian, "from death, do her part"
Olivia was given no promises in the underworld she deliberately gave him a chance to survive again, so now that she's back in her own body, she doesn't want to waste a minute.
Olivia didn't rush to explain herself. She knew that her past misdeeds were too many to count, and it was impossible to change their perception of her overnight.
Ever since Olivia Hermstein married Tristan Emerson, she had been extremely resistant to sharing a room with him. As a result, Olivia slept in the master bedroom while Tristan often stayed at the office overnight. Even when he did come home, he slept in the study room. Due to Marcus presence and Fiona her sister instigations, Olivia never paid attention to this. She was filled with resentment towards everything Tristan did, and now, Olivia felt she had been incredibly ungrateful...
Back in the president office of the company, CEO, Tristan Emerson sat alone in his chair, lost in thought. The time is already past 9 in the evening. After a long while, he finally moved his fingers and picked up the phone on the table, to read a message, which he received from Olivia. As soon as he turned it on, it seemed like he stared at the screen, of his phone. Until it went dark again, for screen shut down automatically,
then got up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window. From the outside, only a few people hurried along the street. Tristan Emerson stood silently by the window for a long time, until his legs went numb. Finally, he couldn't resist picking up his car keys.
As for the maintime, Olivia curled up tightly on the sofa, her brows furrowed in distress. Her closed eyelashes fluttered continuously, as if she were afraid of something.
"Let me out... let me out!" she murmured in her sleep, struggling suddenly. Horrifying images flooded her mind one after another.
"Out? You'll never leave this place! Do you think you're still the high and mighty Mrs. Emerson? You're nothing but a dog of the Hermstein Family!"
In her dream, her Fiona Hermstein sneered at her with a vicious grin. The usual gentle and beautiful demeanor was nowhere to be seen. She turned her head to look at the bottle in her hand, which contained a murky liquid, and moved closer to Olivia. "Do you know what this is?" she asked.
Olivia, terrified, tried to move herself away from Fiona, but accidentally fell to the ground. This greatly amused Olivia Hermstein.
"This is a special potion. The seller told me that in just one drop, it can make a normal person go blind."
Fiona laughed gleefully, her hand move swiftly and grabbed her hair to stop her from moving.
While Olivia's eyes widened as she looked up at her. "Why did you do this to me?! I am your sister!"
"Starting today, I have no ugly sister like you!" Fiona said, right after the liquid thrown toward Olivia's face.
With nowhere to escape, Olivia felt as if thousands of ants were crawling all over her face. She couldn't help but let out a low cry, "Ah, my eyes!"
"Ha ha ha, ha ha ha, a blind and ugly woman! How could a lowly woman like you ever be worthy of marrying into the Emerson Family?" Fiona announced., then her laughter filled Olivia's ears, like sharp as a knife.
"The useless heir of Emerson Family is still in a coma. Do you think if he dies, the Emerson Family will let you off?"
"No, no!" Olivia suddenly felt a weight on her shoulder. "Don't do that, Just tell me what you want me to do, just don't hurt Tristan."
The basement echoed with Olivia painful screams and Fiona's' triumphant laughter.
Olivia, while she's in deep sleep, is experiencing rapid breathing. It is obvious from the expression on her face that she is facing a frightening event.
"Whoahh!" she bang herself in the air, as she woke up from her nightmare, clutching her head and screaming. Her eyes were filled with fear as she looked up at the person standing by the sofa. When she realized it was Tristan Emerson, she immediately burst into tears and threw herself into his arms.
"Tristan.. you won't leave me, right?" Olivia asked desperately, like a child, her voice choked with sobs as she repeated the question over and over.
"Had a nightmare?" Tristan's voice was deep and soothing, carrying a calming strength. He gently patted her back, recalling her earlier question. His heart was filled with confusion and surprise. Did she call him back not to talk about divorce? Was this a new tactic to retreat in order to advance? Thinking of this, Tristan's brows furrowed in anger.
"Yes," Olivia replied, her voice thick with tears. She was crying so hard that her tears quickly soaked Tristan's expensive tailored suit. "You can't leave me."
Tristan's hand patting her back intermittently, while Olivia tightened her arms around his waist and looked up at him, demanding.
Her eyes were red and swollen, like a frightened little rabbit.
Tristan looked at the woman in his arms with a mixture of astonishment and confusion. Before coming back, he had prepared himself for OlIvia to make a scene about getting a divorce, or even to threaten him with her life to force him to agree.
He had considered allthe worst outcomes, but he never imagined that Olivia, his current wife would be like this...
"Why are you crying?" he asked, unable to resist pausing for a moment when he saw his wife's tear-swollen eyes.
Olivia hugged him tighter, her voice filled with helplessness. "I'm afraid you might abandon me, I don't want to lose you.."
Hearing this, Tristan Emerson pursed his lips and hugged her back tightly. "I wouldn't leave you even if I wanted to. How could I bear to abandon you?"
Tristan has always loved Olivia very much, even now that he is still hugging her, Tristan will never let her go so easily.
"I just figured things out," Olivia said, feeling even more conflicted after hearing his words.
Tristan thought about what she said, it dawned on him that he might be right in thinking that she was just using tactics to get him to sign the divorce papers immediately.
In order for him to fully understand this, he first humbled himself., and asked,"What did you dream about?"
