I was beyond livid that Carmen possibly had something to do with the attack of my mate. How dare she smile in my face while secretly planning to murder my mate? How did she find out about her? I did not tell her and the only person that knew was Chris, but as he said she has been watching me ever since she returned from her so-called work trip, which she has been taking a lot of. After I put her and Selena out of the pack house, I went back to join my mate to make sure I was there when she woke up. I had to think of a way to keep Carmen out of the pack house she does not know that my mate is here and that she survived the attack. I wanted to see the look on her face when I showed up with my mate at the Alpha ceremony.
