Chapter 26 Then one day, that was during the final exams, after they had written the paper for the day. He was heading towards the school junction on his way to the main campus. He had been informed that one of his friends had come calling earlier in the day from the main campus. He was making his way out of the school gate when he heard her call him almost in a shriek. He knew the voice even in his dreams but he pretended he was deaf to it until she came running abreast him. She had continued in the already developed habit of being always on the lookout for him. Obviously, he had ignored her earlier when he saw her standing with some friends outside the Examination hall moments after the examination was over. It was the theory part of the first paper on Technical drawing.
