Cassie Richard
Where the hell is the exit?!
My mind was pretty occupied on how to escape because I needed to find my mother and warn her about what kind of danger I enter. Making a deal with a dangerous man is the worst decision I made, but how can I reject such an offer? He has a lot of money and I can change our life.
My eyes landed on the massive door upfront and rushed towards it, but before I could reach the door I saw Aiden’s men looking for me. I turn my back and walk normally when suddenly I find another set of men upfront and they’re all waiting for me.
“Sh*t!” I mumble and cover my face because I don’t have a choice but to pass them without getting notice. Although that’s impossible. They have hawk eyes.
“There she is!” I heard someone shout from behind. That's why I ran and pushed the man to prevent him from stopping me.
“Cassie!” That was Alex’s voice!
I ignore them and keep going. My heart was beating faster and instantly headed outside without looking behind me. My mother needs to know I'm okay. She needs to know that to avoid her situation getting worse and to alleviate her worries. It is important for her to have peace of mind, especially during difficult times. Keeping her informed about my well-being will not only provide her with comfort but also strengthen our bond as a family.
But as soon as I crossed the street, a white van stopped right in front of me. Four men with muscular bodies came out and surrounded me, their intimidating presence causing my heart to race. In that moment, I couldn't help but feel a surge of fear coursing through my veins. However, I quickly reminded myself of the importance of staying calm and composed. I took a deep breath and tried to assess the situation, hoping that these men were not a threat. Despite the uncertainty, I knew I had to find a way to let my mother know that I was safe, no matter what unfolded next.
"You need help?" the man with blonde hair asked me, and his voice scared me.
"No. I'm good."
"I think you need our company, Cassie."
My eyes widened when I heard my name. How does he know my name? I don't know these strange men.
I step back, but I stumble to someone, and I see that man wearing his disgusting grin that gives shivers to my spine. He touched my shoulder, and I immediately felt a chill run down my spine. Panic flooded my veins as I desperately tried to break free from his grip. My heart raced as I weighed my options. I needed to find a way to escape these men and ensure my mother's peace of mind.
"Forgive us in advance because you're not going anywhere unless you're dead, so you better come with us and don't try to fight. We don't want to hurt you, Miss.
"Who are you? How did you know my name?" I bravely question this man, hoping to receive a good answer from him.
"Is it really necessary?"
The other man grabbed my arm and said, "Enough with the chat. Let's go before her chaperone sees us and ruins our plan because I will blame you if Alex makes it through here!"
Alex? Hold on, he knew Alex?
"You know Alex?" I asked.
"Of course we knew that man. He's the pest who keeps wrecking our plans, and we hate him."
Why do these men know him? I mean, there's no other explanation why, because Aiden and he are quite popular, I guess? That's not impossible because they're rich and handsome. So, how the hell do they know them?
I was immediately brought back to reality when they started pulling me inside the van, and I restrained them from doing that, but they were so strong that I couldn't even escape their grip.
"Let me go! Help!' I call for help, but no one dares to help me. People around me just took their phones out and started recording.
“F*ck! This is bad!” the man on my right side said.
They dragged me inside the van forcefully and were about to close the van door when suddenly someone spoke, "Let her go.” That familiar voice made my head turn and I was surprised to see Zach.
"Zach!"
"Sh*t! Another cockroach!"
I felt happy to see him because I knew Zach would save me. But before he could do that, I quickly heard a loud bang causing Zach to fall. After that, there was a rumor of a series of shots. They quickly closed the door of the van and drove it away.
"Zach! Alex! Help me!!" I screamed for help but immediately received a punch in my stomach.
"You're going to ruin us with your yelling, you woman!" the blonde haired man yelled in my ear.
"What do you need from me? I don't have any money! I can't pay you any amount! You made the mistake of kidnapping me!" I screamed.
"We were never wrong, girl. We know who you are and we also know your connection to Aiden. So you better pray because you can't escape until we kill him..."
"If you need money you can call Aiden. He'll give you no matter how much you need. Just let me go!"
"We know that he can pay us at any price. But we have a different goal, so you better shut up, you girl."
"What do you want?!" I boldly asked the man.
"There is only one thing we need from you and that is to call the man who will save you. Now, why don't you rest first because it's going to be a long flight."
He moves closer to me and smirks, “Why not sleep for a while?”
After saying that he put a handkerchief into my mouth. I slowly felt sick and later on, I lost consciousness.
