Opening my eyes I am greeted with partial darkness which I'm actually grateful for because of this throbbing headache which is an active reminder of the terrible hangover I had successfully purchased last night. Wait… I didn't pay for my drinks last night! And how the hell did I even get home? Gosh, did I get drunk and black out again? I couldn't even remember a thing and right now, I don't even want to think about it. I'm just going to sleep a little more, maybe this terrible headache will subside a little when I wake up fully.
Thankfully, it is Saturday, no work, just some house chores I can do later in the day. I sigh, relieved as I turn on my other side enjoying the warmth of the duvet on me. I yawn quietly as I begin to fall asleep again, when my eyes catch a figure on the bed. I am definitely seeing things, I rub my eyes to clear my vision and there it is, a human! A male figure on the bed!.
I sit up instantly, almost shrieking from fright. With questions dancing around in my head I begin to notice the difference, I realize I'm not in my room. This nigga brought me to his house? This nigga brought me to his house!! My eyes nearly pop just imagining what might have happened last night as I slowly lift the duvet. I am wearing a white oversized shirt with nothing underneath.
" Phew." I whisper as I feel the weight fall off my shoulders, I'm not naked. Then I remember…. This isn't mine!
"Oboy." I reply jumping off the bed as I try to make my way to the door. Oh did I mention? I always have conversations with myself.
I find my phone on the bedside table. I quickly check if he is still asleep, it will be terrible if he wakes up and sees me walking sleepily in his dimly lit room. As I turn my phone's screen to see his face, his calm, innocent and peaceful features explains how I ended up in a stranger's bed. His long black lashes display their full length through his closed eyes and the very well trimmed facial hair perfectly carved out the shape of his sharp jaw and still display his full and pretty soft looking lips. The well defined features of his entire face looks so relaxed and with the way his body rests on his side, he has his head on one hand while he must've held me with the other.
' Seems he has a beef with pillows'. I tell myself, seeing the way he avoided the heap of them.
' definitely '. I smiled. Damn it! I am getting lost.
He is so fine. I agree, but that is it, I'm not getting involved. Nope, no way. My mind keeps reminding me as I stare at the small sized journal and pen on the table, tempted to take it and write my number. Instead, I reach for my shoes, I try putting them on carefully but the sleeve of the oversize shirt keeps getting in my way. I notice then that the shirt isn't just oversized, I am swimming in it!. Exactly how big is this guy?. In one hand I pick the shoes, in the other I take my purse and walk out making sure not to wake sleeping beauty. I close the door, roll up my sleeve, wear my shoes and quickly make my way out. Only when I get to the reception did I realize this is a hotel.
' Oh God I must look terrible '. I bit my bottom lip seeing how the workers and some people I presume are guests keeps looking at me too. Some with side eyes, some with searching eyes, others just staring straight on. I finally get to the exit, as the automatic doors slid open, I turne to look again, almost everyone is already whispering to the other.
' just great '. Not a really good way to start a Saturday morning. But right now, I am referring to the unapologetic sunlight that struck my vision so hard, I immediately feel lightheaded.
I squint my eyes as I make my way to the roadside trying my best to walk straight. After a while, my eyes adjusted to the daylight and I see a car waiting.
' Wow, at least transport is quick and easy here'. I admire the car as I get in. The car turn to leave and my eyes caught sight of the bold letters proudly hanging on the super tall building.
' hmmm pretty boy has got expensive taste'. I couldn't help but notice, no wonder he kept it so cool last night. I smile remembering the look on his face when I switched up our dancing. I also remember how drunk I got yesterday and my smile starts to fade. I begin to search my memory for explanations to how I ended up with him in his hotel room, still nothing all I got is his scent that fills my nose from the shirt I am still wearing. Too bad I won't be seeing him again, our chemistry at the club was fire.

Glimpses of the previous night keep parading my mind, her face on every one of them. From the moment she walked over to the table opposite mine with a glass of martini to the time when she was drunk dancing and wouldn't let anyone dance with her. Her happy and carefree attitude was what caught my attention, she is the absolute description of how I want to be, and how I want to live. Happy, without a single care or trouble in the world, but no matter how hard I try to get my worries off my mind, there's always something to hold it back, and instead of having fun, I end up thinking and sulking.
But last night was different, I was so distracted I couldn't even remember any of my problems. How she managed to steal my attention and keep it till this morning, I'll never know. At first though seeing her sitting alone reminded me of myself, I wondered if she was equally as lonely as I was seeing how she was drinking alone. But the more I stole glances at her, the more I saw how pretty she was. How could a pretty lady be as sad and lonely as I was? I look away, so she doesn't catch me staring at her and then start trying to get my attention just like they always do. The next time I looked, she was up and dancing, it was my first time seeing a woman not acting all poised and graceful.
She jumped and turned and screamed out the song lyrics, she looked so happy then a guy tried to dance with her, all I wanted to do then was to grab the guy and throw him out the window. Watching this lovely woman have fun was the best sight I'd seen all week and this guy was about to ruin it.
I continued sipping my drink as I watched, I wasn't about to play hero trying to a woman I was only seeing for the first time. Besides, she can't come to a club looking like that and expect no one to want to dance with her.
Shit I want to dance with her.
As I sat processing my thoughts, I noticed she had stopped dancing and was talking to the guy in front of her. From the looks of it, she didn't appreciate the guy trying to dance with her. Soon the guy turned and left and she resumed dancing alone. Interesting, I thought, as she turned the second guy down, and the third and the forth. Okay, whether she was lonely or just wanted to be alone I didn't care anymore, I was getting tipsy and I wanted this woman.
When I touched her, I had only one prayer in mind 'please don't say no'. As she turned and looked at me, I knew I had made the right choice and even though I was tipsy and felt confident, It felt really good when she didn't turn me down but when she had two more shots, I was scared she would get overly drunk and begin to act up.
Instead she kept dancing and twisting her body with more energy and I got lost just watching her, she was absolutely intriguing. And when she grabbed my hands and put them on her waist, I had never been so turned on. She pressed her body against mine, smiled and locked eyes with me and all I wanted to do was to kiss this lovely woman.
Her smile was the most adorable sight and anyone would ache to place kisses all over, and so I leaned in, but the moment our lips touched, I wanted more but I couldn't let desire control me so I stopped. Then I felt her hands wrap around my neck as she pulled me to her and kissed me back, there and then I knew I wouldn't let this woman go.
My hands wander on the bed. All I want is to feel her soft skin, but only cold sheets greeted me. I instantly open my eyes, where is she? My eyes scan the room as I find no traces of her around. She's gone? I check the bathroom, empty. When did she leave? It was thirty past 10 in the morning, I must've had too much to drink seeing that I have just woken up. Picking up my phone, I quickly call my assistant.
" Alex, where are you?".
" I just got to the hotel sir, I'm sorry I'm late. I stopped by the house to pick up a new pair of clothes for you sir." I drop the call knowing he'll be here soon.
Five minutes is all it takes and the doorbell rings.
" Where is she?". I ask right there at the door before I let him in, without any hesitation.
" Who? Blonde girl?"
" Yes!"
" She didn't…. I thought…." He searches the room with his eyes then pauses and looks at me. He is honestly confused.
" Yes Alex, she slept here. But when I woke up this morning, she was gone!". I lament and walk back in, Alex followed.
" I'll go get her number Sir". He understood the assignment.
" Everything Alex, not just her number, everything about her."
" I'll get her number, address and social media information ready for you sir." He unpacks the garment carrier into the wardrobe. He brought more than just a change of clothes, there was sportswear and casual wear too. Of course he know I am going to stay here for the weekend, he knows me too well.
" Today's schedule?".
" Already sent to your phone Sir.
" What are you waiting for? Get to work! I want to meet blondie by evening. But get her information to me first and be sure to confirm that she is not some hired whore."
" Right away Sir." He scamper to the door and disappear.
* * * * *
It is a few minutes past 5pm when Alex gives me an update on his task. He has never been this late to provide me any Intel I need. Or was I just being impatient? s**t who wouldn't be? Last night was the most fun night I've had in over three months thanks to a certain blonde beauty but this morning, she disappeared without as little as a name. Whether she is a hired worker or just a regular girl, I don't care right now, all I want is to see her face again, clearly this time.
Ding, my phone calls for my attention. It is Alex.
" Alex, it took you seven hours and thirty minutes, and all you could come up with was just an address? Why did you choose today to be incompetent?".
" I apologize Sir, that is all I could find about her. She's got no social media life so I couldn't get more pictures and details about her. I only got her address from the chauffeur that took her home this morning. I've also sent you a video of her from this morning."
I punch the dial. As I open the video file I have just received. I watch her rocking my shirt like a full outfit, it is short but looks good with her high shoe. Picking up the phone, I call Chloe, my secretary.
" Hello sir."
" Come to my office." And 3 mins later she is here.
" I need you to go get a lovely dress, something you'd wear to umm… a first date." I hand her my black card without looking up from my computer.
" Uhh… "
" You didn't hear me?"
" I…I .. I did"
" I need it here by 6 before I leave. When you get back, give it to Alex and tell him to meet me here."
" Right away Sir."
I am about to leave the office when Alex knocks.
" Chloe told me to meet you with this?" He looks so unsure. Like why would I ever need to buy a dress?
" Good, have Chloe reserve a table at Daniel's for 7pm, then take the chauffeur, go get blonde. Also, get some flowers and a card on your way, I'll text you what to write in it."
