Nice story: Selophena’s generosity.

A woman named Selophena went to the market one day, she held in her hand a penny. She couldn’t stand her hunger because she forgot to take her meal. Selophena bought some doughnuts on the wayside, suddenly, an urchin approached to her, “please can I have something to eat,” he said. Selophena was very hungry, she had insufficient money to purchase another. She had no option, she gave the doughnuts to the boy and starved. “Thank you madam,” he said. Wherever the woman went, she was been followed by the boy. She was then afraid, she questioned herself the reason the boy keeps following her. Selophena : Hey, why do you keep following me? Please go home, return to your family, okay. Urchin : No. Selophena : Tell me where you live and your name, any account of you. Urchin : I live everywhere, my name is I don’t have a name and my history is I don’t have a history. Selophena : Please stop following me. Urchin : Can I get more of the doughnut? Selophena : If I get you the doughnuts, you will stop following me, okay. Urchin : I heard you woman old. Selophena : It is old woman, by the way I’m Selophena, here is the doughnuts, goodbye! She moved to another stand to buy some groceries from her budgeted money, she thought some of the money was lost, because the money was inadequate to purchase all and the needed groceries. She remembered she bought the doughnuts with her budgeted money. She told the grocer she will return the rest of the money the next day. The grocer convinced her not to worry at all, she can return the money anytime. Selophena was liked by all persons due to her prior kindness. She reached her humble abode and started to prepare their meal. Few hours later, her husband returned home, her husband gulped down the food served by her dear wife. He was caring, honest and humble, he was named Japhlet. Japhlet : Honey, can I have more, you know I love this food, it’s very delicious. Selophena : Okay I heard you, please wait for me. Japhlet : Okay I’m waiting. Unfortunately, the food left in the pot was eaten. She wondered the person who ate the food? Selophena : Honey, I’m sorry I forgot the food was finished. Japhlet : No problem, thanks for this palatable meal. They went to take their bath and went to bed, she kept pondering of how the food vanished from the pot. The next day, she went to the market, but she changed her time and path to avoid been followed by the urchin. She returned to the grocer to compensate her debt. On her left hand, the boy stood beside her. Urchin: Hi, phelosena. Selophena: It is Selophena, how did you know I was here? Urchin: I’m sorry about the name, but please tell me, did you changed your time and path to forsake me? Selophena: Noooo! And why will I do that? Urchin: Sorry for following you yesterday, we were been followed by some men yesterday, I don’t know if they’re trying to abduct me. Selophena: Really? Urchin: Yes, I followed you so that people will think you’re my biological mother, definitely that three men. Yesterday was the first day I’ve ever seen them around here. They’re on our right hand side. Selophena: There’s no one on our right hand side. Oh, that is your left hand side. I have a question for you. Urchin: Please ask me. Selophena: Where’re your parent, how do you feed yourself, where do you lay your head? Urchin: Sorry I don’t have parent, but I have a parent that’s me. And I feed myself by begging, I don’t steal that’s immoral, and I sleep any secured place I find. Sorry, I have to go. The boy run away to avoid Selophena’s interrogations, she tried to chase him and hand over to him some doughnuts, but she couldn’t. She marketed and went back home. Her husband returned with a pathetic face. Selophena: Why do you look anxious? Japhlet: Nothing. Selophena: You’ve never conceal anything from me, either sadness or happiness, just voice out. Japhlet: I bought some delicious doughnuts on the wayside in the market, suddenly, a boy appeared to me begging for food. The boy is smart and diligent, he followed me to the worksite. They live by themselves, their lives are sometimes in danger, who will care for them? There’s no one, I’m planning to take that boy to an orphanage. Selophena: That’s a good idea, I was been followed by a boy too, he came begging for food. I had no option so I gave him some doughnuts I bought on the wayside. Wait, it might be the same boy I met. I asked for his name but he uttered his name was ‘I have no name’. He didn’t tell me anything about him, he’s very clever. Japhlet: Same he told me, tell me about his physique. Selophena: He’s dark in complexion and about thirteen to fifteen of age, small nose and libs. Japhlet: Yeah the same characteristics of him, we will go get him and take him to the orphanage, that place will be secured for him. The next day, Japhlet and Selophena went to an orphanage and made all the appropriate preparations. Afterwards, they went to search for the boy in the market at the targeted location and elsewhere. Unfortunately, they didn’t find him. They came back home to rest, they were exhausted after the day was over. Urchin: Were you looking for me? Selophena: How did you get in here? Urchin: Please, were you searching for me? Japhlet: Yes we were looking for you, where have you been and how did you know we were searching for you. Eventually, how did you get in here? Urchin: Why were you looking for me please? Japhlet: Do you remember the first day I met you, I had sympathy for you, I wanted to help you. We want to take you to an orphanage, you will be really safe there, you’re just thirteen years, permit us to help you get a better life. Urchin: I’m very grateful to you for your kindness, but I’m okay. Japhlet: Wait, how did you get in here? Urchin: I’m sorry, but you left your back door disclosed, so I walked in to protect you properties. Selophena: We’re thankful to you, but please put what we’ve discussed into consideration, we merely want to help you get a better life. Urchin: Thanks and goodbye. Selophena: Hold on, have you eaten? Urchin: I’m okay, thank you once again. The boy bolted away, Selophena told his husband to named the boy Michael. The boy was a vagrant, but very handsome and well-mannered. Japhlet kept pondering about the boy, did he escaped from an orphanage? He was confound, why the boy rejected to be supported. They ployed to search from other orphanage to get any information of the boy.
