Preface
When we last seen Delilah she reigned triumphant in her battle with the Dark Empress. Lovell and Delilah were successful in separating the shade from its connection with Delilah or so they thought. Delilah has now collapsed into a coma of which she cannot wake. Not by normal measures anyway. Lovell has her off under the protection of the spirits from the hall of chronicles in hopes of finding a cure.      In the meantime, Delilah and Lovell are completely unaware that a new threat has surfaced on their home world and at the present moment settling themselves in. They were embedding themselves in to the very fabric and culture of the planet to blend in and cultivating plans against Delilah. They had disguised themselves as mortals, taken up residences in the providences and making themselves known amidst the people to establish a history. On the other end of the spectrum they were also the cause of civil disputes that resulted in several deaths on which they fed on to keep their powers up and concealing their identities.      After several years they had established themselves as ambassadors of the people and staples of their respective communities. It was not an easy cover to maintain however their royal upbringing was an asset in devising how to carry themselves accordingly. For now they laid in wait for Delilah to make her presence known so that they could put themselves in a position to get closer to her.     Lovell had been keeping Delilah behind close doors and no one outside the compound had any idea what had become of her since the death of the shade. Although in most minds it is believed that the Dark Empress and Delilah are both one in the same, therefore assumed dead. He made it a priority to keep people away from her and refused to let anyone know that she was in a coma. In her weakened state, her vulnerability could cause problems that he was not prepared to deal with especially with her history still looming unanswered.      Lovell has now been thrust into a position of leadership as he has taken the welfare of both the citizens Amaris and Edom under his protection. He now maintains a staff of advisors and representatives from each province and district that keep him abreast of escalating concerns, issues, and needs of the people by which he assists and resolves the matters accordingly. He has become a beloved and respected pillar of the community as they are still recovering and rebuilding from the last devastation that occurred.
