Aurora’s house was quiet when she got inside. Her mother and her father both weren’t in the front room or the kitchen. After concluding her search for them, she headed up the stairs to her bedroom. Aurora plugged in her phone and collected a few items to head towards the bathroom to shower. Taking off Charles’s clothes, she could feel the soreness in her body from her spirited weather inflicted vacation. Tossing the shorts aside, she laid the shirt on the rack alongside her towel. Washing the boat ride and walk out of her hair, Aurora could hear her phone going off in the other room catching up on the notifications and messages she had missed while at the cabin.
