29 Kire stood in front of the old signboard that used to read St. Bernard but was now burnt to a crisp. The signboard was the only thing that wasn’t actively on fire. The school burned in front of him, and he could hear the haunting screams of the people inside but didn’t see anyone. The trees, black, charred, and choked of their leaves, were still smoking. They stood like sinister ghosts in this apocalyptic world. The sky burnt and exploded with blackness. Everywhere was burning, everything was burning, everything was ash and darkness: fire and pain.
