Kire ended up telling his parents at dinner about what happened today. He was afraid of what his father would say, but he was more afraid of Trace and Kaos.
“See, Emma, you have ruined this boy’s life. He can’t even handle bullies on his own!”
Kire thought his father was a bully in his own way; maybe he was suffering as a result of the bullying his father had done in his younger days.
Emma panicked and suggested she call the principal.
In response to this, Gerald said, “This boy needs to figure this out for himself, be a man for once! You calling the principal will only make this worse.”
Though Kire appreciated his mother’s efforts to help him, he slipped out of the dining room quietly as his parents shouted at each other.
