Rob’s POV

Gabriella’s POV

After I left Ben and Rob last night I went straight home. Daniel was waiting for me awake.

“Why aren’t you sleeping, babe?” I asked him

“I missed you, beautiful” he pulled me and I fell on top of him on the bed and giggled.

“I’d say we wasted 15 years or so…” Rob said and smiled at me

“Please, sit. You wanted to talk to us?” Nate said and gestured towards the chairs. Danny was sitting next to Nate behind his desk and I went to sit on his lap. Cary sat in Nate’s.

“Yes, alpha. As you already know I am mates with Rob. We are here to ask for your blessing and support and also arrangements for our jobs” Ben said. I could see he was nervous but was sitting proudly in the chair, not letting his demeanor show his nerves. I felt proud of him.

“Are you asking for new jobs?” Cary asked

“We were warriors but I don’t think the others will accept us as easily as you did. We talked about it and we decided we didn’t want to cause the army to fall apart, so we are willing to change jobs.” Ben replied confidently

“Weren’t you dreaming to be a head warrior, Ben?” Danny asked

“My priorities changed, Betta”

“How long is left until their intensive training is over?” Nate asked me

“Two weeks,” I replied. I knew what he was thinking, we all knew

“We have the perfect job for you” Nate said and we all stood up. Rob and Ben stood up too, confusion written all over their faces.

“We need Gammas. Gabriella was suggesting Ben for a long time now but we disagreed thinking you would be more trouble than help. But we see that that has changed now. We will extend your intensive training to make sure you are to the best of your abilities. Do you accept it?” Nate asked

Ben and Rob exchanged a look and replied in unison. “Yes.”

“There is something more, though. There are a lot of things that we need to tell you but you will have to give a blood oath to secrecy. There is a lot at stake and we can’t risk it. I hope you won’t take it as a sign of mistrust.” Daniel said.

“Yes, of course, betta.” Rob said.

We proceeded with the blood oath and told them everything about the Moon Goddess, Malakai, Leviathan, Fates, our pups being special, everything.

They asked a lot of questions and we answered them. Suddenly Ben stood up and his body tensed, his eyes filled with tears. Rob looked at him with worry.

“Ben, what is going on? Are you ok?” he asked him and touched his chest.

Ben looked at his mate and nodded.

“Bones is back. He is talking to me again.” Ben smiled. Just then the door burst open and our pups came giggling.

Lorelei looked at Rob with a smile. “Robby, does he love you now?” she asked him. Rob smiled at her awkwardly and scratched the back of his neck. It was obvious they didn’t have much time to talk about that yet.

“Yes he does” Ben replied and then looked lovingly at Rob. “I do. I love you” and leaned forward to kiss him.

“Yay” Lorelei and Jasmine squeaked and jumped happily up and down

“Alright guys, there are pups here, break it off.” Nate said and Zane huffed

We all laughed. Lorelei held my hand again and I felt the same warmth as I did in the hospital. She was transferring her knowledge again because she couldn't explain it. Oh s**t. It was my turn to blush.

I cleared my throat. “Pups, go in the arts room to play for awhile”. They ran out of the office and I turned to the others.

“Go now, please. We will talk later” I rushed them out and they took off running.

Daniel took my hand and dragged me towards the door.
