London rolled her eyes and dropped the remote beside her, then focused her gaze on the woman who kept pacing around. "Mother, if you need to panic about your lost daughter, at least allow me to enjoy my show" she gruffed irritatedly. Mrs. Elorod stopped and face her with both hands on her waist "I would break your sister's head if I see her" She sat down and started tapping her fingers on her lap. "There's a knife in the kitchen, just stab her" London suggested and started changing the channels. "Your sister is missing and you are so focused on... On... On" The woman got up and dragged the remote from London's hand and switched the TV off. "Mother!" London called as her lips tighten. "Paris is at work, she might be working overtime so why do I need to worry over nothing?" London rolled her eyes and folded her hands. London's mother was about to reply when the door to their house opened and a girl who looked almost identical to London walked in with her head bowed. Mrs. Elorod charged toward her, "Where have you been? Why did you return any of our calls?" She shook the girl he looked up with swollen eyes. Mrs. Elorod stepped backward as her eyes narrowed. "Paris, What... What happened?" she touched the girl's face with shaky hands. "Mom, I'm fine. I... I had to work overtime" "But, why did you not pick up or return my calls" Mrs Elorod enquired breathing heavily. "Mom, I'm exhausted, let's talk later" She smiled weakly and pushed her mother to the side gently, and walked to her room. London shook her head and continued watching her show, Mrs Elorod stood still for a while before proceeding to the kitchen to cook. "London!" London rolled her eyes, she grabbed her earphone, and placed them in her ears. Mrs. Elorod called her a few more times before coming out to the sitting room. "London, I don't feel that Paris is alright" She bowed her head in thought. "She is fine, no stress" London replied in her usual gruff voice while filing her nails "London!" London jumped when she realized that her mother had tricked her. She adjusted herself and removed the earphones, "Yes, I could hear you" Mrs. Elorod rubbed her head in frustration. "Go upstairs and call your sister, it's dinner time" "But... But..." "No buts, go and call her for dinner, your father and brother won't be back early" London stood up and left while grumbling. London got to the room and barged in. She was surprised that Paris didn't lecture her, she looked around and noticed that Paris wasn't on the bed. She heard some sobbing sounds and noticed that Paris was on the floor. "Why this?" She sighed and adjusted her face then sat beside Paris. "Paris?!" She called out but the girl started sobbing louder. London shifted closer to her and placed her arms over her, "You can tell me, I won't tell anyone" She rubbed Paris's back trying to console her. Paris leaned into her embrace and London held her tighter, "I messed up" her brittle voice sent shivers down London's spine. "What happened? Did Mr. Katz bully you?!" London's raised her voice and Paris hugged her tighter. "No, he... He didn't" London had had enough, she pushed Paris and stared at her, "Speak now!" "He assaulted me!" London's eyes widened when she heard what had happened. She got up and was about to leave but Paris grabbed her legs, "Shower and dress up. I won't hit him, the mom I went to complete your job for today" She walked out of the room. *** Katz Corporation London entered the company and strolled to Paris's desk. She knew the place because she had once switched places with Paris. She sat down and turned on the computer, she was thinking about how to get to the main floor when a man walked to her. "Miss Elrod, the boss needs you in his office" London stood up and smiled as she strolled behind the man. She got to the luxurious-looking office and the man gave her a look she understood but refused to comply, "Mr Katz, she is here" the man announced glaring at London. The man who was focused on his laptop looked up and when he saw the girl before him, his face dropped. He waved his hand and the man who had brought London bowed and left. He kept on typing and ignored London. After satisfying herself with the environment she turned to the man who was buried in work. She wanted to lash out but she exhaled deeply and smiled. "Mr. Katz, you sent for me" Her voice sounded so soft and appealing. The man stopped typing and got up from his seat approaching her, "Stay within your limits" London warned as she placed her hands behind her. Mr. Katz smiled, "You should be happy after what you've done. You drugged and seduced me. How was the pleasure? When do I expect to hear you are pregnant for me? Cheap thing" He sat on a chair and looked at her as though she was an ant. London wasn't intimated she looked down and him and her lips curved upwards but her eyes were filled with mockery. "What?" Mr Katz was confused at her carefree attitude which was so unlike her. "Sir, why do you accuse me of such?" her soft voice made the man confuse, it sounded mocking. "You are in charge of my meals" London rolled her eyes when she heard his reason. "I can't be so stupid to lower my standards" "You!" Mr Katz stood up ready to attack her but London kept on smiling while blinking lazily. "Is that all Mr. Katz?" She stood close to him and looked at his eyes. "I have the power to fire you" He warned but London scanned him while licking her teeth. "You are the boss" She smiled shyly and Mr Katz felt disgusted as he pushed her. London laughed crazily, "Next time you touch me or accuse me of something like this, it won't be funny" She glared at him and walked out of the office but stopped at the door. "I'm fired. I won't be needing your attitude" London spoke and walked out of the room. Mr. Katz clenched his jaw while rubbing his forehead, something felt off about last night. As he was lost in thoughts, his door opened. "Boss, we might have a problem, a big one"
