Remembrance and a run

The next morning, i woke up right as the sun rose. I had to make it into this pack or get a referral to another from them. I can’t make it in this world without one. I’ve done well so far in the human world, but i I hate it. I just need to keep these human jobs and this apartment until i can get into a pack and then be accepted into pack housing. “I can’t wait to be around other wolves again” my wolf said. “me either. It will be nice to be back into regular pack life and not have to worry about these human things.” I replied. I gathered an outfit that was nice and all the accessories and matching shoes and pre sprayed them with perfume and put them into my bag that I'd carry with me to the pack. I gathered some clothes to wear until i got to the woods to shift and went to the shower. “I wonder if we will meet our second chance mate here” my wolf mused in my head. “stop dreaming, we rejected our mate, remember. Rejectors don’t get second chances” I said as i began to remember the look on the boys face when i rejected him. “I’m going to be Luna. You’ll just get in my way. Accept my rejection now and never speak of this again. Or I'll have the alpha put you to death.” I said coldly to him. I am completely disgusted with the feelings i already had for him. His scent was intoxicating. He had grabbed his chest, and tears were in his eyes. He had accepted my rejection and had limped off. Somehow, i was able to hold it together while he was near and immediately walked around the corner of the pack house. Once i had gotten around the corner , I grabbed my chest in pain and cried “Why? Why did i do that? That’s not what i wanted” i had thought. and then a dark thought had come to my mind “i want power, i deserve power, and i will stop at nothing until im the most powerful she wolf in this pack” my tears dried and i had wiped my face, stood up and walked back to my house to clean up. I didn’t want that mutts smell on me anymore. Killian might not like it. END OF FLASHBACK I got out of the shower, got dressed, and grabbed my bag. I walked down the road to the park and towards the trails. Once i made it to the trails, i went off the path and into the woods. I walked for a little while to not raise suspicion and then ran. after about half a mile, i stopped setting my bag on the ground and took off my clothes and shoes. I put them in the roots of a tree and shifted into my wolf. She shook her ebony fur and blinked her dark eyes. I could feel her paws digging into the dirt and could smell the moist air as she took a deep breath. “come on, grab the bag, and let's go. It’s almost 8:00am” i said to her, and she sighed and took the bag into her mouth and began to run off into the woods towards the pack that we had found the day before. It takes me a few hours, but i make it back to the pack. If we were bigger, then maybe we could have made it sooner, but i really do love my tiny midnight wolf. It’s like she’s made of shadows itself. If we can find a dark place, we can blend right in, and no one will be able to find us. when i can see the pack, i follow the shadows and make it close to the gate and shift. I take a moment to get dressed and then make my way out of the woods and to the gate. I walk up to the little booth like area and bow to the guard. “Hello sir, the alpha unit told me to be here this morning for a meeting” He looks at me and then smells the air. “Ah yes, the Dark Elf” he replies “they are waiting for you at the pack house.” And he opens the gate. I roll my eyes internally as i hear Dark Elf. I wish people would be more educated. I told the stupid Alpha unit, you’d think they’d tell the guard. “thank you sir, do i just follow the path here?” “yes ma’am, it's just right up this path here and up to the main doors. Knock and tell them why you are here, and they will take you to the Alphas office where they are waiting for you.” “thank you” i say and bow to him again even though it eats me alive insider to do so. He nods to me, and i walk over to the gate opening and begin to make my way up the path. Soon, im at the doors of the pack house, and i knock at the door and wait. It’s not long until the door is answered, and the person asks how they can help me. I’m led into the pack house and through the foyer and towards two big office doors. They are ornate with stained glass and made of polished wood. The wood and glass are shaped into two white wolves resembling the moon goddess with what looks to be a meadow behind them and a tree in the center. A moon is in the sky, and Selene, the moon goddess in human form, is on either side of the tree with her hand stretched out. The handles are a tree branch, and the gentleman opens the door and steps inside. “Alpha, the Dark Elf is here to see you, sir.” He says and bows and steps aside. “Thank you, Thomas. Please don’t refer to her as a dark elf. Her people prefer the term Unseelie. Make sure the others know that as well.” The deep voice from the day before says. “yes Alpha, I'll be sure to pass it along to the others.” “Thank you, you are dismissed, Unseelie, enter and close the door behind you.” The man that i now know to be Thomas bows one more time and leaves the room. I enter the room and gently close the door behind me. I take a few steps in and wait. The man behind the desk is large like any other Alpha, but he’s sitting, and so i have no idea how tall he is, but he looks to be well over the 6 foot range. He has a long chiseled face with brown eyes and sandy blond lightly curly hair and light brown skin. His shoulders are broad, and he wears a black t-shirt that isn’t too tight. “what is your name? I can’t keep calling you Unseelie for the rest of your life now, can i?” He says with a smile. I smile back, “It’s Marren sir, Marren Blackpaw
