Stalkers

1878 Words
Age and power were what determined their rank in their world. Second and third ranked demons were known as high ranked demons. Any other demon that is below the age of three thousand is seen as low-ranked, as opposed to first order demons who were created at the beginning of time. Second order demons were born and not created, third order demons were turned or initiated. In order to increase power, demons have to submit as many souls in hell as they can get and consume as much hearts and blood of the Lambs as they can lay their hands on. ~~~~~~~~ The Devil's inability to walk out of the abyss wasn't a barrier for him, he stationed the five generals to carry out his orders at any time, location or situation. The son of the Almighty, also known as the Lamb, took the keys to hell and came down to the abyss after his death to save the mortal world from sin, and chained him, the Devil, down just days after Toth's birth. And right now what mattered to him most was the task he gave his daughter to carry out. How she carries out this quest to find the unknown treasure he sent her to fetch will determine his fate in restoring himself to glory without the Almighty's permission. ********** Their eyes met, and for a brief moment, their thoughts seemed to align in a mysterious connection. As they gazed into each other's eyes, a sense of curiosity and wonder enveloped the space between them. In this wordless encounter, their minds were blank canvases, momentarily devoid of any preconceived notions or judgments. It was as if time had suspended itself, allowing them to exist in a shared moment of pure presence. Their blank thoughts were a reflection of the vast unknown possibilities that lay ahead if they were to engage in conversation . In this strange encounter, they both felt the power of a human connection but, neither of them were humans, silently acknowledging the potential for a deeper connection that could transcend the boundaries of their individual worlds, Ammeil decided to withdraw his gaze back to the book lying open in front of him, but.....It was already late, Ophelia has seen a potential interest. Did she just try to manipulate him? What kind of demon was she? Trying to use her powers all the time with no sense of disguise. He would just ignore her. He wasn't in the mood today to play mind games with a young demoness. Ophelia's little experiment failed to work on him, which gave her the confirmation that he wasn't a human. She had just tried to enter into his inner mind but was blocked. A human definitely couldn't do that. What was he? Which kind did he belong to? Even though she knew he wasn't human, she couldn't tell what kind he belonged to. The disguise on him was perfect, he had the ability to use his powers in secret, unnoticed by anyone of any kind, even with an almost perfect record of physiognomy, she still couldn't tell what being he was. He didn't look like the average human. Although he appeared human, he had an angelic and devilish mixture to it. That left her with the question, 'What is he?'. Is he a lamb? Demon? Vampire? or a Nephilim? Ophelia had no idea and that intrigued her more. ~~~~~~~~~ Ammeil was done reading, he had found what he was looking for, he returned some books to the bookshelf and went to the librarian with a book in his palm. Ophelia watched with an eagle's eye, monitoring his every move, ready to attack once he stepped out of the library. And he did. Ophelia swiftly got up from her seat, leaving the book she was 'reading' and dashed out of the library after him. She didn't want to lose sight of him. Ammeil could sense her walking towards him as he approached his car. He wondered what she would want from him. Ophelia concealed her scent and trailed behind him. She didn't want him to notice that she was following him. ______________ Upon entering his car, Ammeil zoomed out of the premises of the library and Ophelia followed suit, tailing him on the highway. She maneuvers her way through the sea of cars with the sole aim of not losing sight of his car. Ammeil found this rather amusing than annoying. He could lose her if he wanted to but, she had created a spark of interest in him and he was going to let her do what she wanted in order to understand why she was fixated on him. Ophelia wore a wild smile on her face, her mood from before had been changed because of the sight of this man, the curiosity he planted in her had grown beyond her control and, until she got to know who he was, she wasn't going to let him go, even if that would mean staying up all night and delaying her transformation, she wasn't obligated to obey Mohinii all the time not after what he had done to her this night. It was a blessing in disguise if she saw it in a different light instead of letting her ego blind her. Mohinii's rejection made her discover this mystery gem. ~~~~~ Ammeil drove into a hotel to Ophelia's surprise, she had thought of places he would be heading to and a hotel wasn't one of them. He showed a gold card to the security men posted at the entrance and he was allowed into the underground garage marked 'V.I.P parking only' and this made Ophelia disheartened. How was she supposed to enter when she didn't have a gold card? She didn't want to use her powers to attract any unwarranted attention from beings who could detect it, she would be in trouble if the man she was secretly following sensed it again and called her out but nevertheless, she was still going to look for a way to get him. She drove into the normal parking area and parked her car. As she rolled down the window, a cool, calming breeze kissed her face, she looked up to the sky and was greeted with the presence of the pale crescent moon which shone like a silvery claw in the night sky and the blanket of stars that stretched to infinity. The surrounding artificial lights and the people going in and coming out of the hotel gave the hotel environment a lively ambiance. Ophelia closed up the window and got out of her car. She knew how she would get to him. ~~~~~~~~~ "Good Evening and welcome to Pine Hues Hotel. How can I help you today?". The receptionist asked politely as Ophelia approached the counter. "I would like to book a room for tonight". Ophelia answered as she turned her head left to right, like she was looking for something. "What kind of room would you like, ma'am?". The receptionist inquired. Ophelia leaned in closer to speak, which made the receptionist taken aback. "How can I get a gold card for this hotel?". Ophelia asked, staring directly at the receptionist's eyes. "Uhh, to answer your question, I would need to know what you want it for. The gold card was given to V.I.Ps, who has been a customer of Pine Hues for more than three years and it is usually given on every ten-year anniversary...That means you will have to wait till the next three years to get one". Ophelia released a chortle from her lips, three years? She needed that thing now and she knew the right person to call. "Excuse me, I would like to make a call". The receptionist nodded. "Yes, go ahead". __ Ophelia deep her hand into her bag in search of her phone but couldn't find it. Then she remembered she had left it in the car. She walked out of the hotel and back to the parking area. She pressed the button of the car key and the car's headlights blinked. Opened the door to the driver's seat and started a search for her phone. In a span of seconds, she found it. ~~~~~~~~~~ Mohinii increased his thrusts into the fair lady moaning in pleasure on top of the bed, his large palms gripped on her neck as he pinned her down, leaving her paralyzed in a full body bowing position. The sound of his phone ringing on the nightstand interrupted the activity that needed his undivided attention. He ignored it, in hopes that the person calling would stop after the first call. But, the phone rang again. He ignored it still in hopes that the person would get the hint and discontinue their quest to annoy him. And again, the phone rang. He growled in anger with a scowl on his face and, as a result of his outburst in anger, he threw the girl under him by the neck as if she was a light weight material and she landed with her head on the ground, creating a loud thud and the sound of her neck-bone cracking. She winced in pain for seconds as her body tried its upmost best to revive itself from the damage the pressure from the throw caused and to keep her heart running. She tried moving but her fragile body couldn't handle the severity. Death had come, smiling at her menacingly. There's no other option than to welcome it. Eyes shut and still. ______ Mohinii, without care, turned his gaze to the location where his phone was, he swore under his breath to fire the person who had just caused the interruption, no matter how important what they had to say was. He picked up the phone and when he saw the caller ID, a strong urge to throw his phone against the wall was overwhelming. Why must it be her? The only powerless person that could disturb his peace and see the next daylight without a consequence. He inhaled and exhaled out trying to keep his anger in check as he accepted the call. "It better be something of importance, Toth". He uttered in a guttural and yet calm voice. Ophelia could sense the hidden emotion in his calm voice. He called her by her demon name, which meant that he was deeply annoyed... With her? "I need a favor from you". Ophelia spoke, not giving a care why he would be annoyed. "Ophelia, come back and start your transformation". He stated. "Unfortunately, that will be delayed. I need to meet someone at Pine Hues hotel and I need a gold card to enter the underground parking lot. I am certain they won't let me in without the card or a V.I.P pass. Please...". Mohinii fling the phone to the wall and the screen shattered as a result of the contact with wall. Ophelia noticed that the call was disconnected. She tried to call again but she was re+directed to voice mail and the call ended before it could start. She got angry and started stamping her feet on the floor. "Ahhhh, f!CK! Damn you! Mohinii". She cussed out, aloud. Ammeil released a sardonic laugh as he watched the frustrated Ophelia, two cars behind.
