The Tortured Luna
The heavy iron chains bit into my wrists, pinning my arms against the cold, damp stone pillar of the master bedroom. Raw, burning friction scraped my skin every time I tried to shift my weight, but the physical sting was nothing compared to the suffocating humiliation choking my throat. Right in front of me, on the sprawling king-sized bed that was supposed to be mine, my mate—Alpha Raiden—was wrapped in the arms of my stepsister, Zaria. The room filled with the sickening sounds of their heavy breathing and low, deliberate moans. Raiden’s eyes locked onto mine through the dim light, his gaze dripping with a cruel, mocking satisfaction. He wasn’t just satisfying his lust; he was delivering a calculated punishment. Earlier that afternoon, I had finally crossed a line his immense pride could not tolerate. During a high-society formal gala with our most powerful billionaire business allies, Raiden had forced me to bow and serve them like a common maid. Instead, I refused. Now, this was my consequence—he was proving to me that I was nothing more than low-born garbage, reducing our sacred mate bond to dirt. Every harsh movement on that bed felt like a physical strike against my own body. The thick cloth gag stuffed into my mouth stifled my pathetic whimpers, forcing me to swallow my own tears as I watched my legal husband completely desecrate our marriage. After what felt like an eternity, Raiden finally pulled away from Zaria. He tossed a silk robe over his broad shoulders, his expression turning cold and indifferent the moment his desires were met. Zaria smirked, wrapping the satin sheets around herself as she watched him walk over to my pillar. With a rough yank, he untied the gag from my mouth. The moment my jaw was free, I spat the blood and saliva from my mouth, my eyes blazing with an anger that surprised even me. "You are both disgusting, pathetic excuses for wolves," I rasped, my voice cracking but laced with pure venom. I glared directly into his eyes. "Look at you. If you hate me this much, man up and reject me! Do it, Raiden! Or are you too much of a coward to face the Alpha King's wrath?" Raiden wanted nothing more than to sever our bond, but the reigning Alpha King had long ago decreed a strict law forbidding mate rejection. Terrified of the King's wrath, Raiden had spent our entire marriage treating me like a slave instead, desperate to torture me until I was broken enough to reject him and take the blame. Before Raiden could even answer, Zaria had jumped from the bed and delivered a vicious slap across my face. The force of it snapped my head to the side, my cheek instantly burning. "Keep your filthy omega mouth shut!" Zaria snarled. Rage blinding me, I lunged forward, attempting to swing my chained arm to slap her back. But Raiden stepped in instantly. With a ruthless growl, he shoved me back with his full, overpowering Alpha strength. The force of the push hurled me across the room. I hit the hardwood floor hard, a sharp pain radiating through my spine. As the world spun violently around me, a sudden, violent wave of nausea hit the back of my throat. I gasped, doubling over, and vomited right there on the floor. The room went dead silent. Raiden froze, his dark eyes narrowing as he stared at the fluid on the floor, then at the way my arm instinctively curled around my lower stomach. Suspicion flashed across his face, quickly turning into absolute horror. "Morrin!" Raiden roared, shouting for the pack doctor. Within minutes, the elderly pack doctor hurried into the room, trembling under the Alpha’s oppressive aura. Raiden forced me onto a chair, commanding the doctor to check my vitals. I sat frozen, my heart hammering against my ribs like a trapped bird. Cold sweat broke out across my forehead. I knew my own body. I had suspected it for a week, but I had prayed I was wrong. Now, looking at the doctor’s widening eyes, a paralyzing fear gripped my soul. I knew exactly what Raiden was capable of. "She... she is pregnant, Alpha," the doctor whispered, bowing his head. "Nearly four weeks." "Get out," Raiden growled, his voice a low, vibrating rumble of pure rage. The doctor scrambled out of the room, slamming the door behind him. Before I could even breathe, Raiden lunged forward. He grabbed a fistful of my tangled hair, dragging me violently across the floor and throwing me onto the bed. I screamed, thrashing against him, but he pinned me down with his massive weight, crushing my chest. From his robe, he pulled out a small, glass vial filled with a shimmering, silver-laced liquid. A forbidden silver potion. "No! No, please, Raiden, no!" I shrieked, my pride completely vanishing as I fought with everything I had. I bit, scratched, and kicked, tears streaming down my face. "It’s your child! Your heir! Please don’t do this!" "I will not have a weak, useless omega bastard carrying my pure bloodline!" Raiden snarled. With one hand, he brutally clamped my jaw open, forcing the glass vial against my teeth. He poured the burning liquid down my throat. I choked, suffocating as the silver potion forced its way down into my system. The moment it hit my stomach, an agonizing, white-hot fire exploded inside me. It felt as if a thousand jagged blades were tearing me apart from the inside out. My vision went completely black, the unimaginable pain shattering my consciousness. I collapsed, sliding off the bed and hitting the floor like a broken doll. As my mind began to drift away into the darkness, the pain grew numb. A profound, weary emptiness washed over me. Please, I thought, my last conscious prayer directed to the heavens. Please, let me die. Just let me die. I was hovering on the edge of death, my body paralyzed on the cold floor, when I faintly heard the door click open. Zaria’s hurried footsteps rushed into the room. "Raiden! What did you do?" Zaria’s voice carried a sudden, sharp panic. She rushed to my side, shaking my shoulder. "She’s barely breathing! Take her for treatment immediately! If she dies like this in our pack house, the Alpha King will investigate. We will get into massive trouble!" "Yeah, I know!" Raiden angrily barked back, his voice sounding distant through the heavy fog in my fading mind. He kicked a piece of luxury furniture in frustration. "f**k!!! we need to hasten up with our plans to frame her and have her executed! I’m so f*****g tired of her!" With those final, cruel words echoing in the darkness, my world completely blacked out.
