Chapter 18

the next morning, I woke up feeling surprisingly energized and stronger than I had before. I stretched and realized I was alone in the bed.

my wolf was a little disappointed that our mates were not here.

I made myself get up out of bed and head to the shower. I turned it on and walked over to the mirror to look at my mark spots.

it was bigger than what I was expecting. mine was two wolves on both sides of my neck. they probably about an inch long each. With their names and mine.

my wolf looked at them, "they look pretty bad a*s. I'm so glad you let them mark us."

"I mean, I would have been a real b*tch if I left them after they killed coach for me."

"True," she agreed.

I took a deep breath, "we are really going to fight him?"

"Yeah, we are! and we are going to kick his a*s! we are stronger and more capable than when we were eightteen. plus we found our mates and they are strong. there are three of us now." she was getting excited.

"This is going to be hard for me, not running. or relying on them to help, it not being just the two of us anymore. trusting someone." I took another heavy breath.

"I know. it's just been the two of us for so long." she said, "but this is really for the best. now we can stop living in fear and start living life. and we are still strong, independent women who happen to have two drool worthy mates that will not protect us even though that's the world they will use." she rolled her eyes, "but they will be our back ups. we can't fight him on our own, one against a whole brain washed pack. but we might stand a chance with them by our sides."

"Yeah, you're right!" I smiled at her in the mirror.

"Of course I am." I could feel her practicing wagging her tail from the compliment.

I got into the shower. It was weird showering alone. I feel like it had been a lifetime since I've done that.

I heard the bathroom door open, and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm already done." I laughed.

"Well Damn, at least I can still look even if i can't join." Josiah said as he opened the shower door.

I made sure to do a little spin for him while turning the water off. so he got a full view of what he missed. there was an exatratored whine coming from him.

"As if I didn't sleep naked next to you all night." I teased him.

he grabbed a towel and wrapped me up in it."doesn't mean I don't want to see you naked all the time."

he pulled me into a hug and kissed me passionately, his hands traveling down my back side and landing on my a*s grabbing it, and giving it two big squeezes. making me laugh and break the kiss.

"If you keep acting like this, then we will never get downstairs to your pack." I laughed while pulling away.

"You're so mean to me." he whined while following me to the bedroom.

I rolled my eyes and found my clothes. I have officially been wearing these for three days, "I need new clothes."

"Oh, that was the original reason why I came up here. but you distracted me with your nakedness." he said while leaning up against the door frame from the bathroom.

"Not my fault you walked in late." I said, looking around for my bag if that's what he brought.

"Oh, dear, where did I put the clothes." he pretendes to pondered.

"I mean, if you want me to walk around in front of everyone in nothing but a towel." I shrugged and started towards the door, accidentally dropping the towel. "Oops."

he growled as I touched the door handle.

I won't go downstairs, but I can at least run around the top floor. my wolf perked up at the thought of getting chased by her mate.

I turned the knob and sprinted out the door, laughing.

he growled and started chasing me down the hall. since I don't know the house lay out that well, I just turned left and ran. it apparently was the shorter hallway because it came to an end very quickly and had a set of stairs going down. not actually wanting to leave the floor. I turned around, and he was right there. he had an amusing smile on his face. lust and the chase in his eyes.

I put my hands up in surrender and walked to him. as I got closer, i tried to dart past him, but he's fast and caught me. picked me up and threw me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

as he carried me, he kept his hand firmly on my a*s. I laughed the whole time he carried me back to the room and threw me down on the bed.

he lay on top of me and started kissing me passionately. holding my hands above my head, with the one hand he played with my n*pple with the other.

he slowly moved his hand from my n****e to my cl*t and started rubbing it. I gasped at his touch. he smiled as he kept kissing me.

he then abruptly sat up with a satisfied smile on his face. "Now get dressed."

I pouted, "You really want to leave your mate unsatisfied alpha?" I asked while spreading my legs so he could see my wetness.

I could see his eyes go black as his wolf came forward and a low growl came out. his eyes flickered back to green. "No, more like a promise, and a payback since you showered a lone."

I laid back in a huff, "Not fair you guys left me alone."

he picked up a target bag from the floor next to the bed that I didn't even see and handed it to me.

I grabbed it, "Maybe I'll have better luck with the other alpha." I laughed while looking through the bag.

he had bought me a new pair of light grey leggings and from the look of them they had pockets. and a tank top with a built-in sports bra. It's not my favorite, but if I'm going to be shifting quickly, the fewer clothes, the better.

I leaned over and kissed him on the check, "Thank you."

I quickly put on the clothes and ran out of the room. while bouncing down the stairs into the front room, lin walked in.

I took a deep breath, and she smelled like she took my advice last night.

she looked at me and smiled.

I grabbed her arm and locked mine in it, and Josiah walked down behind me.

"ok girl, dish?" I started dragging her to the kitchen.

"I need coffee, and you have a story to tell. I can smell him all over you. What happened?"

she started to say something, but then we both stopped at the sound of voices in the kitchen.

"Stop car, I'm matted now."

I let go of Lindies arm and walked forward.

"Just once more for a send-off? for old times sake." I could hear her practicing purring.

"What we had wasn't even serious. You were just a botty call. ready and willing when i wanted, nothing more." Uriah spat at her. I could feel how angry he was from here.

I walked into the kitchen, and Carly was naked. like completely naked with a pair of black stilettos on. a jacket or a dress laid in a pile by the back door. Like she took it off and walked in.

She had her body pressed up against his pinning him to the wall. he looked like he was having a battle with himself about breaking the don't hit a woman rule.

I let out a low growl, and she looked at me. at first, a flash of fear before she smiled sweetly at me.

"Uriah asked me to come over this morning, I'm sorry you caught us. He just can't keep his hands off me for too long. He always comes back to me. I'm the only one who can satisfy him completely." she had so much sweetness in her voice as she spoke, like she was completely innocent.

His face slowly slid from anger to pure hatred.

I saw red and ran to her and grabbed her hair, pulling her off of Uriah and throwing her to the ground.

I wrapped my hand around her neck, and my claws extended, breaking the skin. she was gasping for air as I pushed down on her throat.

I was going to kill her. she insulted me for the last time, and she touched my Mate!

"he's my Mate!" I spat at her, "I commanded you to leave him alone."

Wait, I did command her to leave him alone. How did she touch him? she's not that powerful to resist me.

Then I heard the glass break and a sting in my neck.

"F*ck, it's always the crazy ex-girlfriend."

I thought to myself as my world went black.
