"ivy, won't you eat breakfast?" "no mom, I'm running late" ivy said as she made for the door."and tell Dad I've found it" ivy said as stepped out of the house "found what?" she asked her daughter but I've had already shut the door behind her. "I can't believe I'm late, today of all days" she said to herself as she walked briskly away from the house. walking into the side walk, having not walked a distance a car drove past her. "this same car" she said as she thought to herself how could she forget after that annoying incidence.

"hi Hannah" ivy said as she walked into the coffee shop. "woah girl, you're late" Hannah said whilst stepping out from behind the counter to meet ivy."what hap... but Hannah was cut short by Ken who was a waiter too at the coffee shop. "Mrs Trisha would like to see you in her office". said ken as he left to go about his business "I think I'll have to go see her now" ivy said then Hannah nodded and said "okay".

I'm so sorry ma, I promise that it'll never happen again. "I hope so" Mrs Trisha said with a straight face, "but nevertheless, you know the consequences right?" she asked ivy who was already acquainted with the rules. ivy nodded in affirmation. "you can go back to work now" the manager said finally.

The coffee shop was already on its closing hours. ivy and her friend Gina were set to go. as they walked out of the coffee shop Gina said " you didn't really tell me why you were so late today". "oh, that?" ivy said trying to feign ignorance. "yes, what happened?" Gina said this time staring at her face."okay, I'll tell you".ivy said reluctantly with that Gina turned the key in the ignition and drove out of the parking space."I was at a party" she said at last to her friend. "a party?" Gina asked in a tone that suggested that she was surprised. "I never knew you to be a party girl, let alone keeping it late at night which you did write?" Gina said turning to ivy, ivy nodded her yes and continued " I went there looking for someone" ivy said in a calm tone. "that's all?" Gina asked not satisfied with the answers she got. "not really, the supposed person I was to meet wasn't there" ivy said again "and the supposed person is?" Gina asked curiously. "the girl that has my lost wallet, she'd asked that we meet there, the rest wasn't really anticipated" ivy said finally. Gina pulled over in front of Ivy's house. "this is goodnight then" Gina said. " thanks for the ride and drive safely" ivy said as she got out of the car. she stood as the car zoomed out of sight. she she walked to the door and rang the doorbell."hi Daddy" ivy said as she walked into the house and hugged her father " where is mummy?" she asked as she scanned the sitting room. " she's at the neighbour's, but she'll be back soon". "I'll go and freshen up now " she said as she walked to her bedroom".

ivy stood up and took all the plates on the dinning table to the kitchen and began to wash them up. her mother walked in as she washed up "how was your day at work?" her mother asked as she took out some groceries and put them in the fridge, the bag had looked empty earlier on or maybe because she got distracted and forgot she still had some remaining in the bag. "good" ivy said with her eyes still fixed on the dishes " I hope you didn't get in trouble" her mother asked again this time closing the fridge as sh came towards her. " not really, I can always handle myself so, no worries". "I can see that" her mother said in a tone that suggested that she wasn't at all surprised. "well someone came here this morning looking for you" "looking for me?" ivy asked a little surprised "yes, and she had your purse", "oh, I looked for her too" ivy said admist a smile. so, you lost your purse and you never said anything about it?" her mother asked in a concerned tone. "it's not like that mom, it's just not really necessary". "really, regardless of the fact that you're 'nineteen', you're still my baby". "look here honey" her mother said as she turned ivy to face her "I understand how you feel but we are your parents, you can't keep shutting us out whenever you have struggles, just know that we'll always be there for you no matter how small the problem might be okay?". "okay mummy" she said as she hugged her mother. "alright, wash up quickly so you can go to bed early" her mother said as she left the kitchen. well she could say her mother maybe, kind of misunderstood her sometimes. she was not really the kind of daughter or person that felt it nothing with bothering others with her problems. she was typically an introvert and she knew it. some though, back at school felt that she was just too shy.

she lay on her bed as she began to think back on the previous night....as she walked into the hall, she could tell that it was on a lavish scale. she began to look for annastacia. though as she walked around looking for her, she felt she was a little under dressed. well, she didn't expect much like this when annastacia called to meet her at a 'party'. it's been over thirty minutes and she(annastacia) was nowhere to be found. "ivy, what is this!" ivy heard as she walked past a small group. she turned over only to see a lady talking to someone on the phone. definitely she wasn't the only girl in the world who bore the name IVY". "do you need an extra pair of eyes?" with that she looked up only to see a guy standing in front of her. all the drinks in the glasses were all over the both of them. the only thing that remained in his hand was a tray. "I'm so..... sorry" was the only thing she could muster. another lady, probably a cleaner came over and helped clear the place. as she turned to continue her search she could not help but notice his strong built, he too turned back as he walked away only to find her looking at him, with that she looked away quickly "that was embarrassing" she whispered to herself. she looked at the time on her watch and it was already 10:45 pm, almost eleven and she hadn't found annastacia yet. no call, no text, no nothing she thought to herself at that she took out her phone and began to dail annastacia's number but it wasn't going through, at that point she decided to leave......"come in" ivy said as she realized someone was at the door. she sat up as the door opened and her father walked in " still awake?" he asked as he walked over to her bed. "I was just about to sleep" she said dryly. "thank you" he said admist a smile as he sat on her bed. "no problem daddy" she said returning the smile. he stood up and kissed her goodnight on her forehead and took off the lights as he left.
