Erika's Pov
I felt my whole body suddenly get cold when I heard what Charles said. He has already discovered that I lied about Rose's age. In his mind now he doubted even more that my daughter is also his child.
"Answer me, Erika. Rose is my daughter, right?" Charles kept asking me when I didn't answer his previous questions.
"My daughter is mine." Instead of answering his question, I quickly took Rose from him and turned my back away without saying goodbye. But he quickly followed me and seemed to have no intention of letting me go until I told him the truth.
"Why don't you want to answer my question, Erika? Are you afraid that when I find out that Rose is my daughter, I will take her from you?" Charles asked me in a high voice as he continued to follow behind me.
