Erika's Pov
It was as if my heart stopped when I saw Charles' face as I opened my eyes. His face is very close to my face.
"Charles? Why I am with you and—"
I stopped talking when Charles suddenly kissed me. He kissed me gently as if he was trying to predict my reaction. Whether I would push him away or let him continue kissing me.
I was caught off guard and didn't expect him to kiss me, so I didn't react immediately. Charles thought I was giving in, so he deepened the kiss.
I was about to push him but when I felt his kiss deepen suddenly, it was like a strong force stopped my hands. I felt the strange heat in my body that only he was capable of bringing to life. Heat immediately spread throughout my body. Heat that doesn't burn but feels great.
