“She's pregnant…” Charlotte Strauss held her husband’s hand, pulling him towards the table she laid at when he dropped the bombshell. She had excitedly made lunch today to share the good she has with her husband. However, she didn't expect him to beat her to it. ? Did someone snitch on her? “What are you talking about? She pretended to not get the hints as she moved to the table and picked up the bowl of pecan pie dipped in caramel syrup. “Look, I made your favorite pecan pie with a lot of caramel syrup and a scoop of salted caramel ice cream, just as you like it. Come on, have a taste!” Charlotte excitedly took a pie and was about to feed her husband, Elijah Foster, a piece. “She's pregnant... It's mine” Elijah repeated his words. Causing Charlotte to stop in her tracks and smile at her husband. To her, it was all a joke; she wanted to prank him earlier; she fussed; he caught onto her lies, so she didn't think much of it. Charlotte turned her back to him and pried, “What are you talking about? Quit saying things and let's have lunch; I have something to say.” Saying this, Charlotte pulled out a chair and sat while beckoning Elijah to sit. Elijah was on the verge of losing his patience; he didn't have time to play silly tricks with Charlotte. Charlotte was getting on his nerves since she refused to listen to his words. “Charlotte, didn't you hear what I said?” Elijah asked Hearing this, Charlotte hopped to her feet and tugged at Elijah’s shirt, saying, “Come on, let's have lunch first; don't ruin the surprise I prepared for you.” Her face lit up with smiles. However, in the next few seconds, Elijah flipped her hands, holding him, causing her body to purport backward, falling over. Shocked, Charlotte looked up and saw the cold expression on Elijah’s face. It appears as though he was disgusted by her. He hated her. We don't have any children, so there is no need to fuss about it. Right now, Scarlett is my priority; she's pregnant and has been diagnosed with aplastic anemia.
