PACK RESPONSIBILITIES
Liam’s POV
Layla stood in the pack clinic for a couple more days for observation and she hated every moment of it.
I’m glad she accepted me as her mate I haven’t been this happy since ever, Not only did she accept me as
her mate she’s having my child.
While she has been in the Pack clinic, I made it my business to reach out to Garrett Lykos the Alpha of the white fire wolf pack. He was more than obliged because he wanted to meet my new pregnant mate.
The Famous Widow who knocked Alpha Marcus on his ass twice. Garrett still doesn't know that he and Layla are kin. Or better yet I’ll have Layla show him.

Liam heads to the Pack Clinic to fill Layla in about when Garrett will be visiting.
Alpha Liam: Good Morning My Love.
Layla: Good Morning Baby Daddy
Layla and Liam both laugh
Alpha Liam: I thought I was more than that just your baby daddy.
Liam says this with a sly smirk
Layla: Oh, you are definitely more than just that.
Layla winks as she says this causing Liam to blush.
Liam clears his throat trying to seem unaffected by Layla’s comment.
Alpha Liam: Ahem I spoke to Lisa and she said you can come home today.
Layla: Finally. Ok, I bet my kids are excited to go back home too.
Liam scratches the back of his head
Alpha Liam: Uhm about that…
Layla raises her brow
Layla: Liam about what?
Alpha Liam: Well you're my Mate and my home is now our home.
Layla: But what about my house?
Alpha Liam: It's still your home. I’m not telling you to give it up I just want us all to live together like a family you are my mate now and I consider CJ and Lena as my own.
Layla gives Liam an astonished look and her tears begin to well up in her eyes. Liam goes over to Layla and caresses her cheek and wipes away a stray tear.
Alpha Liam: Layla What? did I say something wrong?
Layla: No, you didn’t it’s just these damn hormones. You actually said the most unexpected heartfelt words I’m glad I said yes.
Alpha Liam: Me too
Liam leans in and kisses Layla’s forehead
Alpha Liam: Now get up and get ready Ang will be here any second with your clothes to bring you home.
Layla: Ok what will you be doing today?
Alpha Liam: Just Pack Business. Call me if you need anything.
Layla’s POV
Ang arrives into my room shortly after Liam leaves. I dress myself with the clothes Ang brought me
Angelina: Wow you look a lot better.
Layla: I feel a lot better.
We leave the Pack Clinic only to see a few pack members on the
way, and it's weird because They all bow before me and then continue on their way.
Layla: Uhm Ang? Why did they just all bow before me?
Angelina: (Laughs) Seriously you don’t know?
I look back at Ang slightly irritated
Layla: If I did, I wouldn’t need to ask you, now would I?
Ang puts her head down embarrassed
Angelina: Sorry I just assumed Liam told you since you accepted to be his mate.
Layla: Well he didn't so fill me in.
Angelina: Oh, ok well you’re our Luna. You're the Alphas Mate and everyone is to treat you as his equal this is now your pack as well.
Layla: My Pack! Will I have responsibilities like Liam?
Angelina: Yes, everyone in the Pack has responsibilities you will be no different.
Layla: OK so what will my responsibilities entail of?
Angelina: Well your job is to know the Pack members and support the Alpha however you can you are the heart of the pack. The Peacekeeper.
Layla: Ang I have a question?
Angelina: Yeah
Layla: Have you ever known me to be a peacekeeper or show emotional support in all the years you know me?
Angelina: No to the Peacekeeper part more like an enforcer giving ultimatums with severe consequences but yes to the emotional support.
Layla: Really
Angelina: Yes, really you may not notice but we do. You’ll make an amazing Luna. There’s only one thing you won’t like.
Layla: And that is?
Angelina: Submitting to Liam
Layla: Ha ha ha really funny you know that's not going to happen hell even he knows that's not going to happen.
Angelina: (laughing) This is going to be fun.
Layla: Why do you say that?
Angelina: Because I’m already picturing my new sister-in-law making my Brother The Alpha submit to her.
We both laugh while arriving to the packhouse

After settling into Liam’s room Layla felt it was time for
her and Liam to sit down and talk to the kids.
Layla: I think we should talk to the kids tonight. Tell them what we are and what they are or will be. I don't even know how to explain it, but they need to know because it involves their lives.
Alpha Liam: Relax we will talk to them tomorrow but not tonight let’s rest and don't worry we’ll explain everything to them tomorrow just bring your book.
Layla: Fine but we can’t delay this any longer CJ is fifteen years old and I don't know if he has that much time.
Alpha Liam: Don't worry tomorrow after breakfast we’ll talk to them.
Layla: What time tomorrow should we be expecting Garrett.
Alpha Liam: He said he should be arriving around dinner time.
Layla: OK.
