Angelina enters her brother’s (Alpha Liam) office
and gives him the papers.
Angelina: Hey Alpha here is the paperwork you asked for gotta go bye
Alpha Liam: Wait what’s that smell?
Angelina: What do you mean (nervous) it's only me and Layla my friend she had to use the bathroom.
Alpha Liam: You let a human into the packhouse! Does she even know what we are?
That was real smart thanks for the heads up.
Alpha Liam: *ML to all pack members* We have a human in the packhouse she doesn't know of us so no shifting till she’s gone
ALL Pack Members: *ML to Alpha* YES ALPHA!
Angelina: Sorry Alpha I was just going to take Layla home, but I was nearby and decided to drop off the papers.
Alpha Liam: Did you say Layla as in THE WIDOW Layla?
Liam says this with excitement because he’s heard
how a single human woman made the Alpha of the Midnight
Howlers Pack submit to her plus she kicked his ass and made him her b***h.
Angelina: Yeah, the one and only but she hates it when people call her that
Alpha Liam: She’s a badass I mean she even made you submit the first week you met her
Angelina: Yeah, so what, I’m not ashamed
Alpha Liam: Well is she single?
Angelina: (Laughing) She’s not for you. You only into one-night stands and your damaged goods after what Sofia did to you.
Alpha Liam: Me, damaged (Laughing) listen that was six years ago she left me for a human man and then got herself killed in his car I don't care karmas a b***h if anything the Moon Goddess saved me from making her my Luna. So, what is she doing here?
Angelina: We went shopping she needed something to wear for the banquet.
Alpha Liam: Is this the first time she goes to the banquet?
Angelina: Yes, Alpha. And that's because of Alpha Marcus he’s so Arrogant and Layla is the only one that can keep him in line.
Alpha Liam: Well that might be difficult for her now that he’s Mated
Angelina: Wow he’s Mated, Good finally but so what if he’s Mated, he’s still an ass
Alpha Liam: Yes, but now he’s stronger.
Angelina: Damn well I hope he doesn't give us a hard time because she needs to get some, she’s backed up six years
Alpha Liam: (Laughing) TMI and she doesn't sound like the type of woman to do one-night stands.
Angelina: True but it’s been six years and that's the problem she needs this.
Both Angelina and Liam hear Layla shouting
at James and turn towards the door
Angelina: s**t she’s about to rip James (third in command) a new one.
Layla enters the bathroom and it’s just as extravagant as the house
The bathroom was as huge with a modern rustic chic look.
Layla: Wow I would never have pictured this when she said she lived in a cabin.
Layla finishes in the bathroom when she steps out, she
sees a tall shirtless muscular man with wavy
brown hair and green eyes.
Layla: Hi I’m Layla Angelina’s friend, is she still talking to her brother?
James: Hi I’m James, yeah, she just went into his office just have a seat on the couch she will be out soon.
Layla: Ok thanks.
James is Alpha Liam’s third in command.
James looks at Layla with curiosity.
James: Uhh Layla if you don't mind can I ask you a question?
Layla: (laughs) You just did.
James: (laughs) That wasn’t the question so is it a yes?
Layla: Yes.
James: So, are you Layla as in THE WIDOW Layla?
Layla: Seriously that's your question?
James: Relax it’s just a question no need to get your panties in a bunch Grandma.
Now Layla is pissed beyond imaginable
Layla: Are you f*****g kidding me right now.
Layla gets up from the couch and gets into James face
Layla: Who the hell are you calling grandma?
James: I’m calling you gran…
Layla’s so pissed she doesn't let James finish his sentence
and punches him square in the jaw knocking him out instantly.
James: Hmnf….
Layla still seething with anger when Ang and Liam come
out of the office and Lisa comes out from one of the
rooms seeing her Mate James on the floor she looks
towards Liam and Ang, they both have
shocked looks on their faces.
Lisa: What the hell just happened?
Angelina: She knocked James out?
Alpha Liam: She knocked him out with one hit.
Liam’s POV
Wow she’s human and she knocked out my third with
one hit how is that possible?
Damn, she smells amazing like Jasmine and vanilla.

Alpha Liam: *ML to Lisa*
Calm down she’s human
Lisa: *ML to Alpha*
I can’t my wolf is taking over she’s pissed (eyes change color and my wolf takes over, but I don’t force shift).
Lisa lunges at Layla, but Layla is faster and grabs Lisa and
flips her face down to the ground and twists her arm behind
her back while wrapping a fistful of her hair jerking Lisa’s head back.
Layla: What the f**k is your problem?
Lisa: You hurt my mate you b***h now I’m a kill you
Layla: Oh, please and how will you be doing that if you're kissing the floor?
And what the hell you mean Mate?
Alpha Liam: ENOUGH!!!! BOTH OF YOU!!
