Nina’s house isn’t too far from mine. So I could walk to it luckily without asking one of my parents for a ride.
Nina’s mom lets me walk into their house, so I never have to knock on the door. So when I got there, that’s exactly what I did.
I could smell cupcakes as soon as I walked in the house. To make extra money, Nina’s mother started making use of one of her many talents and created gourmet cupcakes for parties. Usually it’s the weekends when she has to deliver her cupcakes to the customers.
Not a big business but it does help Nina’s mom get extra money. Plus, baking is a stress relief for her, she says.
