I got out of my car. Right now, I’m too tired to respond to Lila. I will do it later and tell her I didn’t try to get a pizza from her.
I walked into my house, just as my mother was walking down the stairs. We both stopped in our tracks and just looked at each other.
Finally my mom said, “Are you just getting home now?”
I shook my head and said, “No, I got home around midnight. Besides, does this look like I'm wearing this to a party mom?” I said motioning to my body.
“Ok, so then why are you up so early?” She asked.
I started playing with my keys in my hand and then said to her, “I ah, went for a drive. I needed to clear my head.”
It not a total lie, I do have things on my mind and I did just drive David home.
