I walked away from Lila to head to my locker. A few months ago, I wouldn't have noticed what Lila was wearing. Honestly, I wouldn't have cared either. She was just another girl in this school.
But that one accidental text changed everything. I got to know her, at least somewhat. Lila is still a bit of a mystery to me in some ways, but I’m starting to realize why she seems so invisible in our class.
Yesterday, she looked nice. I saw her light up like I hadn’t seen before. But today, that light was definitely out. She was back to wearing… I hate to say this, but she was in old lady clothes.
