Callen's POV
I couldn't seem to figure things out. I knew things weren't right, but just when I thought I was getting a handle on thinking clearly, it was like it just vanished, and I didn't care. So much had changed in a weeks' time. The academy was cleared out and Skylar had brought in more people to be a part of the kingdom, but she was being very secretive about it. She said it was a surprise and wouldn't tell me more than that.
Everyone in the kingdom seemed to be feeling the same way I was. I noticed that the grass hadn't been cut, and the meals were barely cooked. I've had more sandwiches in the past week than anything. Skylar said she was replacing the staff in the kitchen soon and that was part of the surprise with the people at the academy now.
