I managed to get some sleep but in the middle of the night I felt the betrayal of the mate bond. It didn't last long, and I had to tell myself that it wasn't his choice that he was tricked somehow. He wouldn't do it to hurt me. I did fall back asleep after that, but it was interrupted when my door was pushed open hard enough that it hit the wall and swung back towards Braden. He put his hand up and stopped the door. I wished it would have come back hard enough and smacked him in the face and broke his nose or better yet knocked him unconscious.
