Alpha's Secret

Paige's P.O.V I wake up and look at the time 5:15 A.M. I stretch and rub my eyes and get out of bed to start on breakfast. I turn on the radio and listen to music while I make breakfast for myself and my parents. "Good morning Sweetie," I hear my mom say coming into the kitchen to make my dad's lunch for work. "Good morning Mom," I smile at her. "Are you excited for your 18th birthday tomorrow?" she says getting out what she needs from the fridge. "Excited and nervous," I say making 3 plates of waffles and eggs and setting them on the table. "Why did Alpha Jared make the rule that anyone under 18 can't go outside though it's weird? I didn't even become a rule till I was 16." "Apparently Alpha Jared is sick and his son Kiowa refuses to take the role of Alpha till he finds his mate so they figured this would be easier since only one 18-year-old at a time would come out at a time their scent would be easy to pick up." My mom says and I hear my dad get up. "Enough gossip you two Alpha Jared might not be too happy if he heard." My dad says coming into the kitchen, kissing my mom's cheek, and setting down at the table while my mom puts everything into my dad's lunch box. Then we sit down for breakfast tougher. "Dad does changing for the first time hurt?" I ask nervous about it. "A little but after time it doesn't hurt at all it just feels like becoming a new you." my dad says smiling at me. My dad is the omega so he and the Alpha go on patrol every day in their wolf forms to scare anyone that tries to invade our pack lands away. Dad heads off to work and Mom and I clean up the kitchen and table. "What do you want to do tomorrow for your birthday?" Mom asks. "I change for the first time tonight right?" I ask. "Yep probably around 12 but then tomorrow since you'll finally be able to leave we can go shopping to get you a dress for your birthday party the Alphas family will be coming so we will have a lot of people over," Mom says smiling at me excited for me since I might be able to find my mate tomorrow. "I can't wait till I see Kiowa again we use to be best friends it'll be nice to see how much he's changed." I smile at the memories the rest of the day Mom and I plan my party and talk about how life will be different after tomorrow. When it starts to get later in the day mom heads out to get groceries for dinner and I decided to take a nap on the couch. Around 8 pm my mom comes home and wakes me up and we work on dinner tougher, "What if Kiowa is your mate it'll be perfect our family and his family get along so well?" my mom gushes. I roll my eyes, "Mom the chances of that are very low there is no way." "He loved you when you guys were kids he was always here or you were always over there there is something there I just know it," She says while we finish up dinner my dad comes in and hugs and kisses my mom then kisses my forehead. "How was your guyses day?" He asks. "Just planning my party and Mom said she is so sure that Kiowa is my mate," I say as Mom and I plate the food. "Well you could find out tonight when you change he's coming out right after to help you get used to it and he said he misses you so this is a chance to see you before the party tomorrow." He says as we all sit down to eat. We spend the rest of the night talking and watching tv and I look at the clock and see it reads 11:55 pm, "I'm gong to head outside so I'm ready," I say getting off the couch and heading to the back door. "Sweetie?" My mom says getting my attention, "You might want to undress and sit your clothes by the back door or you'll rip them to shreds." "Really?" I ask confused, "Okay," I head outside and take off my clothes and sit them right outside the back door and then I feel pain shoot through my body I bend over and it feels like my bones are breaking and changing after about 10 minutes the pain ends and I look at myself in the reflection of the back door and I see a pure white wolf, I hear coming up from behind me and smell the sweetest best smell ever I turn around a see a huge black wolf and my inner wolf says 'mate'. The wolf comes up to me and walks around smelling me then licks my face and beckons me to follow him so we run around and just play around that's when I realize this is Kiowa.
