I wake up in the middle of the night, thinking about that she-wolf… my mate. An Alpha. I still can’t believe it.
Just thinking about her sends heat through my body. My wolf is restless—no, not just restless… he’s completely worked up. I haven’t been with any woman before, but this isn’t just me. This is him. Leo. A damn horny wolf who won’t shut up.
He’s been nagging me nonstop to go back into the forest.
What am I supposed to do?
Is she going to like me?
Is she going to reject me?
I’m spiralling.
I need to see her. I need to talk to her, because this f*****g wolf will not leave me alone. Damn it, Leo.
Do you want me to show you again? he growls in my mind. How good she’ll feel… how perfect she is… the way she’ll look when we finally touch her—
“Shut up, Leo,” I mutter under my breath.
He just keeps going, pushing images into my head until I can’t take it anymore.
“Fine! You win,” I snap. “We’ll go. But I’m not happy about this.”
I like my freedom. And she’s an Alpha… I don’t know about this.
Still, my feet move before my mind can argue further.
We reach the enchanted forest, and that’s when I see her.
Standing in the moonlight.
She’s breathtaking.
Long silver hair cascades down her back, glowing under the moon. A red dress hugs her curves, and she stands there like she owns the night itself. Then her scent hits me—sweet, intoxicating—and I know without a doubt.
Mate.
My Alpha.
She slowly turns toward me.
Everything inside me stops.
My heart pounds like it’s about to burst out of my chest. And when I meet her ember eyes, I forget how to breathe.
If I thought she was beautiful in her wolf form… it’s nothing compared to this.
She’s unreal. Like something crafted by the Moon Goddess herself.
For once, Leo is silent.
And for the first time in my life…
I don’t have a single word to say.
