The teachers in Brenda's school were also not left out in the preparation of the students for the examination that was to commence in a few months time.They often paired them for group work.On this particular day,as they were in the class,Miss Royce entered the class with a student following her at the back. Then she introduced the boy to the class.

"Good morning class" she greeted

"morning Miss Royce".the class answered.

" so we have a new person that will be joining us for the upcoming examination.his name is Desmond.please make him feel comfortable ok"?

"ok miss". the class replied exchanging glances and started making noise. then Miss Royce went out.

" Hey Desmond.you're welcome to our class"Fender said.

"Thanks so much ". Desmond replied.

While the class was busy making noise, Brenda and her friends were studying their books.After a while,Miss Royce came back to the class to pair them for their group work.She wrote numbers on papers from one to five and squeezed them then asked them to pick.She told them to come together based on the numbers they had picked.Brenda found herself in the same group with Desmond and some other people.Well,she wasn't sure of what to feel right now because she knew nothing about the boy but nevertheless,she made up her mind that her group would be the best among others irrespective of her group members.She was in group two and they were five in her group. When they came together,they agreed on making Brenda the group leader.Well,she wasn't too cool with the idea but she accepted it.The topic they were given was a broad one so she divided it and gave each member of the group a sub topic to do research on and they all agreed they would meet the next day.When school was over,she met with her friends and they all talked about their group members.One of them was not too happy because she was in the same group with Fender. Fender was a very popular bully in the school.Though several students had gone to the school authority to report but the school authority couldn't do anything about it because his parents were very influencial.He was not bright academically but would always find a reason to mock some students because of their financial status.Brenda told her friend not to worry about Fender that the group work was just for a short period of time.After talking for some minutes,they all departed to their various houses.When Brenda got home,she was eager to narrate the whole story to her mother. But she noticed that her mother was gloomy.She asked her mother what the problem was but she was resistant on telling Brenda what the problem was because she didn't want to get her worried.

"mom what's the matter. You don't look bright.Is anything the problem "???. Brenda asked her mother looking worried that something might have happened in her absence.

" Nothing is wrong Brenda am just stressed out.but don't worry I will be fine"her mother replied with a smile that didn't really look real to Brenda. She made up her mind that whatever the problem was,she would find out sooner or later.Then she went ahead to wash her school uniform with her siblings own as well.
