The day of their examination finally arrived and tension could be sensed among the students.Some were in groups revising for the examination.Brenda and Desmond were not really tensed because they had been studying for the exam

" Hey Brenda! what do you think about today?. I mean everyone seems to be in a reading mood today because of the exam". Asked Desmond

"Well I know we haven't written this kind of exams before but am sure our hard work will pay off". within some minutes,they were all asked to enter the examination hall and sit down according to their registration number.Unfortunately for Brenda and Desmond,they didn't get the opportunity of sitting close to each other but after the exam they discussed and prepared for the next paper.

Within some weeks,they were done with the examination but before the conclusion of the exams,the proprietor decided that he would host a graduation party for them in order to mark the end of high school and open a new chapter.He told them a week ahead so that they could prepare for the graduation party.While they were at home,Brenda always found a way of reaching out to Desmond.She usually used the excuse of surfing the internet in order to get her mother's phone.Although her mother started suspecting her cause of the way she behaved,but she concluded that her daughter was getting matured and most have been displaying the signs of adolescence.The day for the graduation finally arrived and all the students were in high spirits.Desmond decided to pick up Brenda and her family on their way to school.By now, he had told his dad about Brenda and his dad was so eager to meet the girl that his son always spoke about.Brenda was still inside parking the rest of her things when she heard a car honking outside their house.Her parents and siblings were surprised because they were not expecting any visitors.Never the less,the father asked the youngest child to peep who it was but Brenda insisted that she would check that out herself.When she got outside,she was perplexed by who she saw."Could that be Desmond am seeing right there?? she wondered.Desmond wore a very expensive black suit and leather shoes that were shinning. His hair cut even made him more handsome alongside the spectacles he wore.Desmond was also astonished by Brenda's beauty.She wore a pepper red gown that brought out her beauty and her hair was neatly packed. At first he did believe it was the same Brenda he knew because her beauty was captivating.After some minutes of silence Brenda finally spoke

"Hey Desmond.i wasn't expecting you and I can see you are here with your parents"

"I know Brenda that you would be surprised to see me but I told my dad that I wanted us to all go together"

" Your dad knows me????.She asked

" Yes my dad knows you because am always talking about you at home"

"Really?. ".After few minutes of conversation between them,Brenda decided to call her parents to see Desmond's parents which she did and they quickly exchanged pleasantries before heading to the school.The graduands were giving graduation gown which they used to snap with members of their families.The occasion was a fun and memorable one as some students were being awarded for one thing or the other with Brenda and Desmond not excluded and they were called to present their speech.Brenda was so excited though she knew she was going to miss her friends but she was happy she would finally graduate from high school.After the events,she met with her friends to exchange contacts.Both Brenda and Desmond's parents were proud of them because of the awards they were given and they encouraged them to keep it up.Desmond's dad promised he would organize a dinner night for both families but that was dependent on their results.Their hearts always skipped at the mention of result because they did not know what to expect even though they knew they had done their best.After the event, Desmond's parents decided to drop them off at their house.After staying at home for some months,Brenda became tired of home and really missed school although she started learning a skill to keep herself busy and always helped her mother out but she really wanted to be in school.She had really missed her Friends and wished she could see them anytime soon.One day when she was on a call with Desmond he told her the current school news

" Hey Brenda I heard that our results are out"

" Really? She asked screaming on the phone because she couldn't hide her expression

" So have you seen your own? she asked Desmond feeling nervous and curious

" Well......."

" Well what? Desmond am listening.Please tell me it was fine"

" Brenda can you just calm down.the thing is I have not checked my result but I might check it out before the week runs out.I know how nervous you are but don't worry our hard work will pay.Am really sure about that"

" Desmond you have no idea of how I feel right now.I just hope we will be able to make it." she said whispering some prayers.

"Sure we will Brenda"Desmond encouraged her and ended the call.After the call Brenda shared the news with her family members and they all encouraged her.then they decided to check the result the next day.When she heard that, she became more worried.She wondered what would become of her if she did not pass the examination but she hoped that all would go well as she awaited the next day
