Chapter 2

I turned on the radio, and started singing along. Ooh she's sweet but a psycho A little bit psycho At night she's singing I'm-ma-ma-ma- out my mind Oh she's hot but a psycho So left but she's right tho It was a two hour drive to see the witch, Caleb, and by the time we had arrived it was already 9:30. I knocked impatiently, and waited 10 seconds before trying to burn the door down. Oh, did I mention I have pyrokinesis? And mind control. That was the only thing my dad ever did right, he gave me my powers. I heard an "I got it", and a very sexed up looking Caleb came to the door, trying desperately to pull a pair of pants on. I scanned him up and down. His hair was messed up, his lips were swollen and he was panting. Someone must've been having a good time. I snickered. Caleb glared. Just then a guy came around the corner. He was hot. He had brown hair, beautiful eyes, had lighter skin, but wasn't too pale, and was at least 6 foot. I looked him up and down drinking him in, just to irritate Caleb. "Lex." He ground out. he was getting angry. Good. Anger would fuel his magic. The lights started to flicker. "Babe, what's going on?" He said looking at Caleb's pained face, and paying no attention to the lights. "Are you okay?" He grabbed his arm. Caleb visibly calmed, and the lights stopped flickering. The boy looked confused, but gestured for Caleb to introduce us. When Caleb just stood there awkwardly, he stuck his hand out, "Hi, I'm Nico. It's nice to meet you." His hand was a little cold, but I ignored it. "I'm Alex, it's nice to meet you too, Nico. Caleb found a good one. You're hot," Caleb stiffened, and Nico laughed lightly, and did a dramatic hair flip,"and you didn't completely blow up when I showed up unexpectedly, thinking he was cheating." I heard Luca sigh behind me."Can you please hurry up." I ignored him. "Well it's not every day you get a visit from the devil's daughter." Everyone froze. I tried to play it off, " Are you religious or something, dude you need to find some chill." Even I could hear the uncertainty in my voice. He laughed "I'm not stupid. I know who you are. Alexia Hades, more commonly known as Alexia Montoya." In a second I had him pinned against the wall. "Who the hell are you are and how do you know so much about me?" Before I could blink I was flying across them room. I slowly peeled myself off the floor. "What the f**k, Caleb?" "I didn't do anything." "The hell you didn't I just went flying across the room without anyone touching me." "Wait, where is Nico?" I asked uncertainly. "Over here." I looked where the sound had come from. There was no one there. "Now I'm over here." I couldn't move. He came flying at me. I hit the wall again. I was angry. b***h gonna die now. I could feel my body start to heat up. I heard an "oh s**t", and some receding footsteps. I started probing with my mind. I found Nico. Caleb knew what I was doing. "Lexi please don't do this." I ignored him. I gave my attention to Nico." Come here." He nodded and hesitantly obeyed. I could tell he was trying to fight my command. Good luck with that b***h. "What are you?" He gulped. "I'm a hybrid, part witch part vampire." Interesting. You don't see many of them lying around. That's probably how he knew what I was. That meant I could still use him. That meant I couldn't kill him. Sigh. I turned to Caleb. "I need your help." "Why in hell would I help you?" "Because" I looked at Nico, "You don't want him to die." He sighed in defeat. "Fine. What do you need?" I smiled maniacally. His eyes widened, unsure of what I wanted. "I need a specific kind of weapon." "Y-you d-do?" He hesitantly questioned. "I'm honestly not even sure it exists, but if you can't find it for me, I'll kill you both. Him first, of course." He looked scared and that just made me smile wider. "But don't worry, I believe in you. Nothing is impossible when you have the proper motivation." "What is so special about this" he paused, "weapon?" "I don't know much about it, I don't know what it looks like, I don't know what it is, but I do know that it is incredibly powerful, powerful enough to kill a god, powerful enough to kill my father, powerful enough to kill me." I know I shouldn't have mentioned the powerful enough to kill me part, but I couldn't help it, it made it more dramatic. Though who wouldn't want control of one of the only things if not the only thing that can kill you. I truly didn't want to kill Nico, and Caleb was a good lay, but I couldn't die, I wouldn't let it happen. Not that I would have much of a choice in the matter. I was snapped out of my thoughts by someone waving their hand in my face. By reflex, I spun around, grabbed him by the neck, and was prepared to snap it I heard him hiss in pain. I quickly released him when I realized who it was. "Lukey, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." It pained me that I had hurt my brother even accidentally. I couldn't meet his gaze. Without looking up I said, "I expect you to find it soon." Caleb knew the comment was directed at him because I heard him grunt in response. I started walked to my car, and without stopping I said, "Luca, you coming?" He replied with a curt yes because I only ever called him Luca when I was angry. The entire drive home was silent, and that was fine with me, because I really wasn't in the mood for talking.
