Chapter 3

1056 Words
I was sitting in my room, quietly waiting for the sounds of their breathing. About 2 am, when I figured they would be asleep. I tried to leave my room as quietly as possible. It took all of my self control not to start gagging when I passed Harper's room and heard moaning and grunting. Oh kill me now. I knew it was my brother and not some random because I heard her say his name. In between the sounds of flesh slapping against flesh. Ew. I would never be able to look them in the eyes again. I needed blackmail on them, so I put my phone on record and left it outside her door. I walked away to get my purse and keys because I didn't want to hear my brother and best friend going down on each other anymore. I didn't want something so disgusting on my phone, so I saved it to my email, and deleted it from my gallery. I had left them a note. It didn't say much, just that they shouldn't look for me, and that I would be fine. I couldn't have told them where I was going, not even if I had wanted to. Because I wasn't even sure myself. It was close to 1:30 when my car pulled out of the parking lot, so as soon as I hit the highway I didn't waste any time. I ignored the speed limit and immediately accelerated to 90. There was only truck drivers on the road, but even if I did get in an accident, it wouldn't kill me. Apparently the fight from earlier had made me hella hungry, so I stopped at an exit, and tried not to cringe at the clerk's appearance as I asked him where the bathroom was, because there was no way my germaphobe self was going to touch any food without washing my hands. I mean as nasty as the is entire building was he couldn't at least try to make up for it? I walked into the stations bathroom that looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. Oh hell no. I wouldn't get anywhere near that sink even if my life depended on it, which it didn't. So I kicked the door open with my foot because I didn't want to have to touch the handle again. Yes, that's right. It also didn't have a lock. I was tempted to report that place for improper hygiene. Instead, I started scoping the candy aisle and bought one of everything. Plus some takis and hot cheetos. As I sped down the highway, I was too focused on my food, asking Siri stupid questions, and driving to notice I was in someone's territory. Witches to be exact. The crazy, bitchy kind. They worked for anyone with money. Bounty hunters if you could call them that. If they got me, I may not survive. I as I was thinking about this, I was already turning around so I could leave their territory. And I managed to get all the way out of their territory and back to my dorm. Nope. Of course the universe couldn't be nice to me just once. So as I was saying, I started to turn the car around, and that's when it all went to hell. My car flipped over, and started rolling. When it finally stopped it burst into flames. Luckily for me, my powers make me fire resistant. Normally people would run from these bitches, but I was pissed that they had wrecked my car. And I intended on making them pay for it. Literally and physically. I loved that car. I had named him Maximus. One witch walked up to me, and started whispering a spell. She looked pretty confident. That is until I took her head off. I watched her head roll. I looked her facial expression, she died looking scared. I guess she knew she was about to die. She was smarter than some of the other people I had killed. Some of the witches decided to run, until there was only five left. I decided that even though the one's still here were basically trying to kill me, I liked them, because they weren't cowards like their friends who ran away. I started smiling. (A/N If you have seen Vampire Diaries or Originals, I imagine her smile to look like one of Klaus's) I would make their deaths quick. I figured that I could just continue taking them out one by one. It would be easy. That is, until they linked their power. It felt like my brain was on fire. At least I think that's what burning felt like. Because I honestly wouldn't know. Magic sucks ass. Unless you're the one using it, of course. I smiled at the thought. I had some good memories of using magic. People never saw me coming, literally. Once, I had used an invisibility spell on Halloween. I know, I'm the worst. I went around scaring humans shitless. But that was actually when I met Caleb. He saw right through the spell. It was sad. He would have been fun to scare. He screams like a little girl. I was pulled out of my thoughts by the pain getting worse. I started to run, because the closer they got, the more painful it was. After about a half a mile, I couldn't run anymore. I collapsed onto the ground. The witches had been able to follow me easily, because of my weakened state. They were getting closer, I had maybe 10 - 15 seconds before they were close enough to knock me out. I had enough time to do one thing. I could run again, but I knew it was pointless, and my pride wouldn't let me just retreat. I could have scorched them, but I wanted them to suffer. I know my mood swings are terrible, but you have no right to judge me. Instead, I decided to do the most stupid thing I have ever done. And I actually have a history of bad ideas, just ask Luca. Like making glass by lighting the beach on fire. (A/N Yes if sand burns you can make glass, I googled it. But please don't actually try it.) I flipped them off and said," f**k you."
