When 2 worlds meet

Jessica POV Beep! beep! beep! The loud alarm broke the silence in my room at 6am in the morning. I peeled myself from the bed and did a quick stretch before I lazily shuffled to my bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and said, " Ugh, Mondays suck". After a my mirror pity party and a million eye rubs, I made my way to the shower. After a fifteen minute shower, I started getting ready for school. I did my hair which takes ages to get done because of its curly state and finish up getting dressed. I chose a yellow oversized hoodie and black knee length shorts, I paired them with black sneakers. I rushed downstairs for some breakfast. I found everyone at the table munching into their own goodies. I've lived in the packhouse for four years now. As the Gamma or third in command's daughter, it wasn't really necessary for me to move in but I moved out of my childhood home as soon as my twin brother, Alex moved out. We've always been together and my parents made this no exception. I sat down next to my brother and picked a bowl of fruit and blueberry muffin. "Mom, called this morning" Alex told me. "What? Were you guys discussing your clubhouse secrets?" I teased. Alex and my mom were uncomfortably close. I would sometimes make fun of him for being a mommy's boy. "Actually no," he said with his 'screw you' face "she wanted to find out if you were ready for the party on Saturday" smirking at the end. "Whyyyyy? That woman knows I'm socially awkward" "Well you have to do it because when mom has spoken, not even dad can change her mind" "Fine, but there better be a mean-ass buffet" "Sometimes I'd swear food is your mate" he said with a laugh. I loved food more than life. It was mine and my brother's eighteenth birthday on Friday and since we had school. Mom thought it would be great to have a party on Saturday. My driver arrived a few moments after breakfast and we headed out to school in town. I got to a human school since I am willing to go and explore other opportunities out there. I want to be able to go to college, have a job and maybe one day a business of my own. My brother goes to the pack high school since he is the next Gamma in line.
